Hi There, positivesolitude: like meats said it shudnt affect recorded/special delivery aaj123: There are couple of advantages of special delivery: 1) You can be assured you will get it delivered before 1pm, and can track it online. 2) I might be a shaky ground here, but I think the contents of speci...

I would say so too ID. How did you manage to get 3 points and 60 fine. I hear there is something like a speed awareness traning, which helps you avoid getting points on your licence, right?

Hi Amitagar, Unfortunately the section is not so clear about the fact that everyone who comes to H4 needs to skip to J1. There have been cases like yours where people have gone to H5 and then skipped to Section K. However, if you do that the form would be incomplete. Check this thread for one such c...

The line below this says.....Now go to question J1 I think in both cases you should go to J1. I think...

Good choice pal. I am applying sometime this week and will pay by cheque too as it is safer than credit/debit cards. A little less safe than banker's draft/postal order, but thats one risk I am willing to take as the latter cost a lot. Good luck with your application decision, I have heard September...

Can I ask you about your mode of payment? By the timelines it looks like either a cheque or a banker's draft?

hi Smadupu, I have been quite concerned about the payment bit for sometime now. I have a couple of questions on your case: 1) Which credit card did you pay by? I mean which bank? 2) Did you try to inform the bank beforehand? 3) Did you attach a self addressed special delivery envelope? From my excha...

Thanks Crowbar. This is getting increasingly frustating. Why cant the HO accept payments through post office or some such mechanism. Grrr. Anyways, along the same lines, the other issue I am facing is Lloyds is now troubling me for last month's bank statement. They seem to have sent across my statem...

Just back from the bank. They say the branch does not have any say in what gets blocked and directed me to their fraud prevention cell. Yes I think I am going to go to the bank personally and request the same in writing and then give them a couple of calls later to make sure my request has been registered in the system.

Its difficult to not be paranoid about this :)

I did not read it completely, if you did, please share your views. I am dabbling with some pdf diff tools to find the exact differences. Havent found anything substantial as of now apart from form version date changes. I think it is the same. http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/application...
