Re: Change of Name while applying British Passport

Thanks for the link and the information sysnerul, and sorry for not helping on any of your queries, in my defence I know much less than you do on this topic at the moment. I am actually looking for advice from you. My case is a bit different, my wife's current Indian passport is on her maiden name. ...

Re: November 2013 - Naturalization Application Timeline

Wow, looks like UKBA is trying to catch up with the approval times, after the 28th October rush. However there are still quite a lot of october approvals pending which is kind of worrying. I wonder how the December applications will fare in terms on approval times after fee debit.

Re: Form AN Documents & Fee

Hi Marsenal, 1) Make sure you carry the same identity proof as you did for your LIUK test 2) Do not see any KOLL proof? 3) Carry as much correspondence as you have from UKBA, my NCS person took copies of all, just to provide as much context as possible to the case worker. 4) Doesnt look like this is...

Re: December 2013 - Naturalization timeline

Hi Rikken, I am afraid I cannot help there, I am not even sure when my payment was taken, as previously I was only looking at the balance, not the available balance. BTW my balance is still not showing the fee taken, nor is there any transaction, only the available balance is £1550 pounds less. I am...

Re: Indian entry visa application query.

Thanks jacsll55, I will send a more detailed PM in a couple of months time or so, when I get my British passport. The entry visa page on the VFS says: "An Entry Visa is granted for a specific purpose (short term courses and unpaid internships) or other non-business related purposes. An Invitation le...

Re: December 2013 - Naturalization timeline

Congrats TTOE. For me funds available have gone down by £1550 this morning. Rikken, this is sometimes misleading, in my case for instance balance is still the same, but "Funds available" has gone down. You might want to check it out too. Really hoping decision comes through within a month now, and i...

It would be interesting to see if the UKBA can live upto its decision-within-one-month-of-fee-debit image! :)

Re: December 2013 - Naturalization timeline

Hi TTOE,

Yeah, exactly my thoughts. But you know its kind of un-british to call a spade a spade. Back where I come from, I would have told him exactly what I think about his claim :D.

Good luck to you for next week too, I hope all december payments go through in the next couple of weeks.

Re: December 2013 - Naturalization timeline

Hi Fred2141 and TTOE, Thanks for posting this, I have applied on 17th December too (application reached UKBA), and I paid through my Lloyds bank debit card. Just to be sure I called them today, and informed them of an upcoming transaction of £1550, however they refused to make any note, saying there...

Re: Indian entry visa application query.

Hi jacsll55, I have applied for naturalisation for my family and would then be applying for a visa for my family, and go back to India and apply for OCI soon after our arrival. Can I ask you why you chose entry visa as opposed to either tourist visa or 5 year long term visa? Could I request you to P...

Hi Chandni131313,

Can you post any links supporting your claim? It is a well known fact that the Indian constitution does not allow dual citizenship.
