Re: PIO for uk born child - HCI London Experience

Thanks for the inputs rockon. What did you do about the referees section. Were they related to you? Were they contacted at all?

PIO form referees can be relatives?

Hi forum,

I am about to apply for the whole family later this week.

My query is about referees, can referees be related to us? For example can my father and father-in-law be the referees for all of us?

Please guide.

Regards

Re: British Passport application processing timelines (only)

HI TTOE, Sorry I miscalculated. Going by history it should come in tomorrow, today is a bit ambitious. Yeah, go ahead and give the DX secure a call (I will drop you there free number in PM ;)), they would be able to give you tracking number which you can then put online and have some more peace of m...

Re: PIO for uk born child - HCI London Experience

HI RockON, Can you confirm if the photo specification for PIO applications have changed at all. The website still says 35mm by 45mm. Is it still the same, or had it changed to 51 by 51 as for OCI and visit visas? Also for my daughter, the photographer took it on a while background rather than a ligh...

Re: Passport surrender and PIO query

Thanks for the advice ban.s, my only concern with the Indian government is that things change too quickly, and sometimes already existing arrangements may not be provided for. For instance if they stopped the OCI system, and I am stuck with PIO card forever, and by the time its time for renewal none...

Re: Passport surrender and PIO query

Also, for my eldest one, the photos are on a white background, the snappy snaps guys was very confused about what we needed for PIO, white background or light grey background, so we went for white. Is this OK? Unfortunately there are no detailed photo guidance on the HCI website for this. Thanks for...

Re: Passport surrender and PIO query

1. you can leave blank Thanks for the input ban.s, I have currently filled both forms with NA in that section based on previous input on the forum, hope this is OK? 2. preferably with open eyes Thanks, I think I will be safe and get new photos with eyes open, not worth the risk. 4. why would you wa...

Indian passport surrender - British passport in new name

Hi Forum, I am surrendering my wife's Indian passport by post, her British passport is in her married name, and the naturalisation certificate is in her maiden name. Would this be a problem? I am planning to send a self-attested copy of the marriage certificate with the application. Would this be en...

I used my manager as the main referee in both naturalisation and passport, he was not contacted in either case. If he was, I would have come to know immediately.

Re: British Passport application processing timelines (only)

Good question tobeukcitizen. The reason I am planning to go for PIO is: The HCI website mentions estimated processing times as 2-4 weeks, and 4-6 weeks in exceptional cases. This is confirmed by various timelines on the forum. Also, I do not know for sure, but again from the forum it looks like in t...

Re: British Passport application processing timelines (only)

What tips do you need TTOE, I was there on Tuesday. Multistorey car park across the road from the building. The PO folks are quite relaxed, they do ask a lot of questions though, but are very friendly. Do not need to carry any documents with you at all, apart from the interview letter. Carry water e...

Passport surrender and PIO query

Hi Forum, Some quick queries, inputs greatly appreciated: 1) On surrender form, there is a section for spouse name, which says as in Passport, but my passport does not have my wife's name. People have mentioned either writing it anyway, or writing NA, any clues which is the correct way? 2) PIO card ...

Re: INFO: Zerox and Snaps shop near HCIL

Hi azorpheunt,

Passport size photograph for what purpose, passport, visa, OCI or PIO?

Just wondering what is this change you are talking about, as the site still mentioned 35x45 for PIO and 51x51 for OCI.

Hi Forum, Some really quick queries: 1) I had my passport interview today, so am expecting the passport to come through later this week.
