Can't believe she was questioning a 7 year gap, hardly unusual. Just wondering what reason she gave for joining asian friend finder? As I would thought most people who join those types of sites are at least thinking about finding a relationship, so stating you weren't might be a little difficult to ...

The fact that you are legally married and have two kids is the best evidence that your marriage subsists. I disagree. All that proves is that the marriage subsisted in the past. It doesn't prove that the marriage is currently subsisting. So how can I prove that the marriage is currently subsisting ...

So now, you should just forget about the address they have in their computer. I'll stop worrying if someone tells me what information they compare to during the passport interview - the one in naturalisation application form or the one in passport application form ) The interview is done in a frien...

haha, well we have made a decision, we're just trying to be sensible and not rush into anything. And yes, I have a secure full time job in the creative industry, but it doesn't pay fabulously. I have enough money to support him, I just worry my application won't be as strong as it was when we appli...

Just another question, sorry, theoretically could we go on holiday shortly before her current visa expires and how long do you generally need to apply for your new visa in advance of the expiry of your current one? Thanks. :) It shouldn't really be a problem re-entering the UK on the day the visa e...

Think you are mis-reading the information, as the spouse of a EU (which of course includes UK) citizen it is a lot easier. This is all you need - no travel plans, or proof of finances required. o Passport valid with one full blank page to affix the visa. o Completed and signed visa application form....

My comments are based on a mixture between my opinion, my understanding of the immigration rules, and my knowledge of cases that have been successful even though technically they didn't meet the level of income you keep mentioning. You want the ECO to quickly look at your case and be happy that you ...

Does this mean that it's possible for my wife to get ILR 'as soon as we arrive'? I'm hoping that her 'visa history' will help with this. See this thread. http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=57075 Basically unless you make another visit to the UK first before applying so she can pass th...

I think our case should be a considerably simple one really since I'm a caucasian British-born male with a clean history and she has been living in the UK as a student for 8 years now. We're both in our late 20's and we've been together as a couple for 2 1/2 of those and our documentation will all ...

The argument that one can produce a budget and live within it was debunked by the ruling which established the income support level as the minimum acceptable level for income adequacy. It was accepted that people could live on less than that figure but it was also held that people cannot be forced ...

So it takes like 4 months for a standard postal application? That is going to kill our holiday plans then unless we opt for the 'premium' service, damn cheek though, I'd love to know where all of this money is going but I guess it disappears into the same black hole as most of these types of funds ...

Your logic does seem reasonable, though you may want to prove it to the ECO. You could produce a budget to show how you and your family could live on the money you would have. The way the job market is I doubt anyone can say for certain they will get a job quickly so normally I would think you'd nee...
