You can apply for an NHS card , but you must show that you are actively looking for work. This means that you will need emails or letters to say that you have interviews scheduled, etc. If you don't have this, then it can be difficult to get your NHS number. Where did you hear that from? You can ge...

The deductions it refers to are the ones that appear on your pay slip - NI, maybe pension, etc. So it's the amount of money that you actually receive from your employer each month.

If she is a filipina who married a filipino in the Philippines then there is no way she can obtain a divorce in the UK. Hi There, I am an Indian national holding a post study visa and travelling from Gatwick UK Airport to India to attend my brother's wedding and upon return to Gatwick I would have to fly to Dublin on the same day. Now my question is, would I have to go through the immigration at Gatwick airport or a...

A budget plan is good. It shows how much your outgoings are. How do you get £1200 for visa fees? If you came here on a spouse visa you would have to pay for the the spouse visa (£515) straightaway, then within 2 years you have to pay for the Life in the UK Test (£33) and ILR (£750). Actually mo...

I agree, that's why I suggested providing a personal budget sheet to show that £93/week would be enough to live on.

Ok, thanks. I know that this isn't an exact science, but just to try to get a feel for things... If the Income Support level for a couple, per week, is £93, then that's just under £5k per annum. Adding £10k per annum for rent gives £15k per annum. So, over two years that's around £30k in total...

As long as they receive your application for FLR by the 11th January you will be ok.

There wouldn't be any problems at all if you sent it by special delivery as late as the 8th January.

The Chilean Embassy website suggests they will issue one of these when a Chilean nation has lost all their travel documentation and needs to travel home in an emergency. So I guess they'd want you to report the passport as lost to apply for one ...
