Process/timing following application submission

I am eligible for citizenship on 1 July 2015. Say I submit my application that day via NCS, which I believe allows me to keep my passport. 1) If I then left the UK, is it correct I do not need to be back in the UK until the ceremony? 2) Do I get to choose the date of the ceremony? If yes, how long c...

Passport photocopy - all pages

The guidance states:
In addition
you should provide photocopies of each of
these documents including any pages of your
passport(s) that contain personal details, visas
or immigration stamps (foreign or UK).
Is this really necessary? I have 2 passports with dozens of stamps over many pages.

Re: ILR Tier 1 G Appointment, please can you check my docs

you will therefore be able to apply for settlement 28 days before this day in 2014 - i.e. the 30th June 2014. If planning to apply again at a PEO, you will need to ensure that your appointment is no earlier than 1st July 2014. Do these statements not contradict each other? if he/she can apply on th...

PEO - will they retain my current Tier 1 BRP?

I am applying for ILR in the near future.

Will they retain my existing BRP at the appointment?

I am planning a trip soon after and my ILR BRP may not have reached me by then. I am thinking of using my Tier 1 BRP if that is possible, as it will still be valid when I return.

Thanks.

sagareva, can you cite an actual refusal based on not having an absence letter? Other posts (including those from senior members) seem to conflict with your assertion: http://immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=142449 If your absences are less than 180 days per 12 month period, you shouldn't need ...

so when I come back in to the uk after being in Italy at the end of May how do I make sure they issue me with a visitor visa at the border? You can't 'make sure' but if you explain your plans and ask they may issue you with one. Be aware that in such a case you can not work from that point on. I wi...

Ensure you accumulate sufficient proof of living together, tenancy agreements, joint bank statements etc. YMS validity starts from date on the visa - this can be post dated by up to 3 months from date of application (...

Re: Stolen US Passport Containing UK Visa- travel to EU

Apparently a TOC costs about 600 pounds and it wouldn't make any sense to have one put in a temporary passport. I don't think you can get a TOC as you are not in possession of the old visa. As ridiculous as it sounds, if you want the PSW visa replaced you have to reapply and pay the full fee. See b...

You do not need to disclose he is married unless it explicitly asks that.

According to the immigration rules it is 100% possible. People who answer phone queries at UKBA are notoriously unreliable.

Just to add to what Greenie has said, you do not need to go back to NZ but do need to leave the UK and re-enter.

Also keep in mind you can stay past the expiry of your Tier 1 by 28 days with little or no issue.

Does he meet the requriements of the business visitor visa?

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... /business/

If yes he can be granted one on entry. If no he needs to apply for the relevant visa before departing.

Under the new rules coming into force in December you would be very close to qualifying with this arrangement, as you will be allowed 180 days absence each year. Assuming you have annual leave and those days are spent inside the UK you should be able to come under the limit. http://immigrationboards...

Looks good at first glance, however: provided the absence is due to an employment, including annual leave, or business related reason or there are serious or compelling compassionate reasons for the absence. To me this implies that absences outside of these circumstances (ie: unpaid leave) are not p...
