It sounds from your posts you are waiting for a 'single entry visa' - are you talking about a visitor visa? Surely it is instead a replacement BRP that you want? I am not sure how viable this suggestion is, but why don't you get a Eurostar ticket, and try enter under your Tier 1, explaining to the I...

Consider neither of them, you will only know for sure when you have your passport back.

Figures from UKBA are notoriously unreliable and in any case are only an average.

Tier 1 extension - previous passports

I am submitting my current passport, and my passport before that which has my Tier 1 visa in it.

Do I need to submit my passport before that(which I have travelled to the UK on while still holding my WHV), and the one before that which has my Working Holiday Visa in it?

Thanks

Q D3: What date was the visa or entry clearance issued?

For Tier 1 extension, can someone confirm what date I need to put here?

Are they wanting the visa start date or the actual date of issue?

I am not sure of the exact date my visa was issued.

Clarification on pay slips

I have a PEO appointment next wednesday to extend my Tier 1 visa. I have read the guidance, but am still not sure if I need to get my pay slips signed/stamped. My payslips are printed on payslip stationery ( http://www.bsd-online.co.uk/bsd/tas-laser-payslips-fully-compatible.html ) and there is no c...

Tier 5 YMV holders cannot take a dependant with them.

Are either of you eligible for the Ancestry visa, or have an Irish born grandparent?

Try at midnight.

I did so on Tuesday night, first time I've ever tried and there were multiple appointments available at all 3 offices I had selected.

Not sure if I got lucky but it could not have been easier and I was expecting it to be a lot harder.

I thought there is a restriction that you can only apply from a country where you have permission to stay for more than 6 months, or does that not apply to tourist visas?

You are eligible to apply. The 6 month requirement relates to the last period of leave you were granted having to be for more than 6 months. As the Tier 5/YMS is granted for 2 years it satisfies this condition. http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas-immigration/partners-families/citizens-settled/sp...
