Re: Please dont give out wrong advice.

If you are on Tier 2, that means you are earning your money in the UK not in India (even though you are paid in India as well)? Am I understanding your situation correctly? If this is the case, then you cannot use the uplift ratio. Most of the moderators and people on this board are giving wrong ad...

Why not? I know for a fact it can and has been done in the past, including on my own visa, although not through Delhi BHC.

My understanding was there was only to be a 5% reduction in number of visas issued - is this correct?

Maybe their is a deluge of people panicked by the current and impending changes? Or is it a case of their being a low number of applications ayear ago because of the masters requirement?

Re: Refused as a Fiancé -- Do I Get Married and Re-Apply?

-I prepared an extensive application, including several hundred pages of relationship proof. Far in excess of what is required, if you meet the requirements for the visa (which you do not). -The application was rejected on the grounds that I had not "been living together in a relationship similar t...

Overstaying in itself should not be classed as contriving to frustrate the rules - there must be aggravating circumstances. It sounds like your refusal is not justified on these grounds.

In hindsight it is, but I think the OP was getting confused between an ordinary masters, and an MBA, with both being distinct in relation to Tier 1 points awarded.

An MBA is not a masters.

Use the PBS calculator, it gives points for a Bachelors. Rules were changed in April this year.

Any new applications will be refused automatically on the basis of the previous rejection.

If people bring all the income from abroad while leaving here, they will defintely refused. AFAIK there is no reason someone cannot do this, with the proviso that a multiplier cannnot be applied to any such earnings. Also my understanding is if you were physically in the UK when you did the consult...

She should be able to get a passport at any time, no need to wait 4 years. You can apply for ILR after 5 years here (WHV/YMS doesn't count) or after 2 years here on a spouse visa. I doubt you can get a spouse visa until she has her passport though. The amount of time you have been married is not rel...

Domestic worker visa - 12 months in household

Can someone apply for this who has spent the last 12 months working for the employer within the UK? ie: on a WHV.

Or is it only applicable where the worker has been working outside the UK?

The latter is what I originally thought but it seems that may not be the case.

Thanks

Hiya, do you know if you back to your home country and apply there, is there any ban towards you??. Because you are overstaying for more than 28 days... The way I see it the OP only began overstaying when they received the refusal on the 6 April. As they haven't (yet) overstayed past 28 days there ...
