A lot of people are asking about this on another forum, and I have a friend in the same situation. Not many have a definite answer - it really depends on your circumstances and the IO on the day. I did it myself, but that was in 2006. I personally know of one other person who has done it last year a...

Thanks for your answer, can you clarify a couple of things please? These are the rules: (iii) that he intends to travel to the United Kingdom in the company of his employer, his employer's spouse or civil partner or his employer's minor child; That may be a sticking point? and is I think what led me...

Domestic worker visa - 12 months in household

Can someone apply for this who has spent the last 12 months working for the employer within the UK? ie: on a WHV.

Or is it only applicable where the worker has been working outside the UK?

The latter is what I originally thought but it seems that may not be the case.

Thanks

Hiya, do you know if you back to your home country and apply there, is there any ban towards you??. Because you are overstaying for more than 28 days... The way I see it the OP only began overstaying when they received the refusal on the 6 April. As they haven't (yet) overstayed past 28 days there ...

It sounds like it is an Austrlian tax debt?

If so, no you will not be declined for that reason. UKBA has no interest or knowledge of it.

Dependant Visa - 2 years together

Regarding the rules for a dependant visa (ie: for a Tier 2 visa holder), consider an umarried couple that have been together for several years - do they need to have spent the 2 years immediately preceding the dependant visa application together, or can there be a gap? ie: together 2005 - April 2009...

Re: Tier 1 Application refused,Astonished/gutted

If you are applying from outside UK . You have to submit the Original Bank statement of Barclays Bank. The ECO will not consider the online e-statment. or not the Branch Original printout from your local Barclays Bank . Because it is a rule in publish guidance notes. (If you look properly). [/b] I ...

This is a common occurrence, it happened to me so I contacted them and they said to send my passport back and they would restamp it with the correct date.

If you contact them they should be able to do the same.

Extension is assessed under the rules in force on the date of application. ie: If the visa was granted points for a bachelors, extension points will be granted for the same.

Granted the UKBA wording is somewhat misleading, but this has been covered many times here.

You can get a second extension, same rules apply as when you get the first one. Your original visa should have been dated until around 10 march 2012, it should be 3 years from approval date, or date of travel if specified. Also I thought that requesting a passport back cancels the application, obvio...

IMO it is unlikely to change drastically or at all, as australia ranks quite highly in GDP per capita.

More likely I would think is for New Zealand's to be reduced, as currently at 2.3 it is very generous.

In my opinion, this makes it alot easier to get the Tier 1, since they relaxed the education requirement rules. A 29 year old or younger person having a bachelors degree should earn a minimum of around 47k INR per month (assuming £=75). If 30-34yrs old then he/she should be earning around 65k INR ...

The Australian BHC sends an email when the passport is dispatched, and if the visa was approved, states as much.

Refusals used to get no email but now get an email saying only that the passport has being dispatched with no reference to approval/refusal.

Changing start date of visa before use?

I just got a tier 1 visa from the Canberra BHC, with a start date beginning of June.

Can I get it changed to end of next month as I don't travel until then.

I thought I'd seen a post about this earlier but searched and couldn't find it.

If you say you are staying 3 months, you will almost definitely get a 6 month stamp.

Visitors generally get a 6 month stamp by default.
