Re: Foreign Birth Registration

I am really loving this forum and I have appreciated seeing other people’s journeys and timelines with their applications so I thought I’d also share my dates on here (I’ve added them to the Google doc too). Application submitted online: 03/09/2021 Documents received at Balbriggan (no email confirm...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

I sent docs November 2020 - not marked as received until Jan 21 (not sure why as others had theirs marked as received in Nov on the tracker!). Not heard anything yet for confirmation of address - do they always reach out first as we’ve moved house since sending? Yes I think they do as precursor eit...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Hah I was a mug and sent mine when they re-opened. Regretting that now...

Did you a date of when they officially received your docs? I emailed them and they confirmed that they had "registered" my app in Nov rather than in July when I made the app.

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

I'm replying to myself. She replied to the OP. #6 · 36 m ago January, 2021. That's only a month later. No approvals yet, they're seeking clarification on a document. According to the spreadsheet on page 233 there was only 48 (I think) applications received in January!!! It makes me wonder if they a...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Hey folks Has anyone seen this? https://www.kildarestreet.com/committees/?id=2022-11-10a.921&s=Foreign+birth#g1001 5000 applications processed in Oct of this year which is pretty incredible! Doesn't match the spreadsheet on Page 233, the minister gives a much higher (and more promising) figure........

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Hi all, This is all really promising, the speed of the application progress! Although, I am a March 2020 applicant and I have still yet to hear a word... My documents were received in Balbriggan on the 23rd of March 2020. Longest wait ever? I'll go for the title! 🏆 Will I think that well warrants g...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Wow guys, this is so exciting, I can't believe we are seeing September 2020 applications! This time last month, March 2020 was still trickling through... I'm a June 2021 application, so now I am quietly hopeful that it could be a January 2023 approval. And actually if the Google Sheet is representa...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Uh oh - I had completely missed the requirement to write the application form on the front of the envelope. I did this anyway but then at auspost they put it in a new outer envelope for international postage and I didn’t think to re-write it. Now it just says my sender information. Do you think thi...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

I am curious to know how they will start treating the applications received over the lockdown e.g. someone could have applied in April 2020 but not been able to submit their docs until the office reopens. I am wondering if they will prioritise on application date or whether it will be the luck of wh...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

That's so weird. When I got in touch with similar circumstances (application made July 2021 with docs sent in December 2021), they gave me the date my application was registered (Nov 21) and the date my docs were received (Dec 21). I think it must just be absolute chaos in those offices and luck of ...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

TBH the staff have my sympathy. From articles I have read, they are under immense pressure to train new staff and come to work when they are sick with COVID. It sounds a horrible environment to work in. The buck has to stop with the folk in charge. I want my Irish citizenship but not at the expense ...
