Re: ILR and UK born Child's Citizenship

1. Child applies to ILR with me: + I know people who did the same and got their ILR (So it's not a gamble with my money) - It costs an additional £2400 This is no gamble. It's not a requirement. But it would make you sleep better at night if you have the money to part with [/glow] 2. Child applies t...

Re: Citizenship after marriage / civil partnership

@CR001 I get it and you're correct. The original Set M allows this. In a normal scenario, one would have had a LE , FLR then finally ILR on this road to settlement. So it would have been proven at those 3 stages that it's a true & subsisting relationship. The OP's case seems to be different. Op want...

Re: Citizenship after marriage / civil partnership

I believe the requirement is to be married to a British Citizen, and not Civil partner. You would need a wedding certificate as evidence, and data page and other pages of his/her British passport as evidence of citizenship. If and when you cross the t's and dot the i's (literarily), then you can app...

Re: ILR and UK born Child's Citizenship

It seems that you've made your decision already. Note that UK born children cannot overstay! In fact, they don't need to have any immigration status before applying to register as a British citizen. The only problem is that they can't leave the country, because they would find it difficult to re-ent...

Re: Want to apply for British passport ( ilr received recently 5 year spouse settlement)

Most people don't remember what the form look like top of their heads. Please note that the forms are not bespoke to you. They cover all sorts of people making different naturalisation applications. Your 2 referees would need to sign on the one that confirms that you are who you say you are. You wou...

Re: Parking and parking ticket

Parking tickets are private matters, you don't have to report them. However, you need to report you speeding fine, but it should have no effect on your naturalisation application.

It would make you sleep better at night if you do report it

Re: please confirm, continuity period issue

Not entirely sure if the 28 days grace was allowed in 2016. You probably would have received an email from the home office at the time, detailing your rights and repercussions if you default. To be safe, I'd advice that you wait for 5 years on your current dependant visa as you're equally close as w...

Re: Help needed for cousin Set-M ILR.

1. Yes that's correct is she has had LE/LR Set M and FLR Set M. 2. No problems, if she can find a slot. 3. Yes 4. 6months 5. Regardless of what you assume, passport is the final stage. Only confirmed brits can have a British passport. Children would naturally need ILR first then register MN. 6. Prov...
