Its always 3 years from the date of application / receipt, rather than 3 years from the expiration of the last visa. I am in the same situation - I have spent 'almost' two years (3 months less) in work permit, and now have a Tier-1 for 3 years. It means I will have to apply for an extension of Tier-...

Shilpi: 1. I got formal UK payslips, and I did not get them stamped by HR. I still got my approval. Don't let that guide you though, as someone else has said in their post, dont give them a reason to reject. If you can get it stamped and signed by HR, do it. 2. Bank statement without Logo would prob...

Shilpi: Research carefully on what allowances in UK you can claim as salary. I was bitten by that the last time I applied. I was with an Indian company that paid me 'Salary' in India, and Allowances in the UK. The major part of the UK allowances were shown as 'Daily Living Allowance' in the Pay slip...

Carpra: The point you missed out is that when you apply for Tier-1, There is no fee for Dependants when their application goes with yours. If you apply later however, there is a fee of £350 per application. Also, They have to go thru EC separately in India. Regards, Ashraya Hi urgent thanks for the...

Re: Hi Guys,

Irf_bar: I had partial success today in enquiring about status. Atleast they confirmed it was being dispatched. The one reason that might work (I know someone else posted that it worked) is that you mention that you are needed to travel, and want to find out if you can put in a urgent treatment form...

How did your docs come back?

HSMPAspirant:

Today, I have missed a delivery that came via ParcelForce. It could be some other parcel, but the only one I am expecting is the HSMP papers. How did you guys get the papers back? Was it ParcelForce by any chance?

Re: New theory of how TIER 1 application being prioritize !

I did submit my UK Payslips (showing only Allowance) and the P60. I did not get the approval because I was using the Indian Salary with the Multiplier to qualify. My understanding was limited at that time. I wonder how your friends qualified. Without the multiplier, to get around 30 points for Salar...

Re: New theory of how TIER 1 application being prioritize !

Abhishek: I had last year attempted to get HSMP and failed with such circumstances. If we are paid an allowance in UK, that cannot be shown as Salary. Normally, firms giving Salary in India and Allowance in UK do not pay any NI or other taxes on the UK allowance. So, that cannot be shown as salary. ...

No change in status today either. Just wanted to answer someone elses comment about all payslips being within UK. Mine is the same case, but its not made any appreciable difference, so it is just a draw of luck, I guess.

Special Delivery envelope???

I see quite a few people (including aylee, who got it approved) mentioning Special delivery envelope for returning the docs. I did not see such a thing mentioned, and did not include one - is this cause for concern?
