The best advice for an over 18 dependent child is to apply together with his parents, but on a separate SET(O) form. (Meaning the child needs to pay a full application fee.)


Yes,this is the best option.
If not, then its SET F form and higher fee, provided leave to remain has not run out.

I suspect this is to do with losing the original citizenship and the rights to own land/property by non-citizens. India would be a good example of such a country.
