Vat gain comes when business follow fix rate vat method

for eg IT contractors following a 13 % payment to hmrc and get 20 % from client , any thing left form 7 % after charging vat suffered on purchases is gain and is income for HMRC AS WELL AS visa purpose

you can add in net profit such gains

HO can do all checks what it feels good

those got visa by showing X income and file tax return with less than x income have breached visa terms and fit case for revocation of visa and jail with deportation.

FROM home office point of view if gap in yr present earning by paye is of more than £10,000.00 than ltd company way is good other wise sole trading

rate of tax in ltd is 21 %

in sole trader 20 + 8% ni on profits 6000+ onwards

you will be ok by ltd way
