Does she have to travel far??? you may find that they will not let her in!but not sure as we haven't done that.

When i did my bundle i submitted only letter from council to prove there would be no overcrowding which you have and i proved i was up to date with my mortgage by showing statements of payments.This was accepted.So if you submit all your evidence it should be fine.

Usually they ask about how you met but as yours is an arranged marriage i think they will just ask how this arrangement came about, they will check your employment and accommodation to make sure you can support her without the need for public funding. I think they will only call her for an interview...

No i don't think so,sounds fine to me, unfortunately its just a waiting game!! I think the high commission can take 4-6 wks so you should hear soon.
Has she asked at the vfs agency where she handed her application in????

Yes we were refused on maintenance but only because i was wrongly advised by two solicitors,they told me it was a public fund and should not be written down so i thought they knew best (hadn't heard of this site or John at that stage!!!!) so my income looked like i wouldn't be able to support hubby....

Went on my appeal last week. Appeal went well,was only asked a few questions about refusal and then the judge said based on the evidence he has heard the visa will be granted (hooray!!!!!) just needed it in writing,so back to waiting again.

Yes just claim JSA in your name.The only thing you can have in joint name is tax credits all other benefits in your name only.It will not effect her status.
