As you have your ILR i believe you are entitled to claim benefits.
The child tax credits have to be claimed in both yours and your wifes name ie joint claim.This does not effect your wifes visa.child benefit can be claimed in your name only.

That is good news,she sounds like she is a really helpful lady.I agree with her that most cases do not get over turned but never say never some have been. Our case took 6 months plus then the waiting time for the visa to be issued that took just under 3 months but it differs from country to country,...

That is all fine and sounds good.Yes you have more than i did left over so that is fine,can't think what mine was about £490,do you have savings ?.I also added all updated bank statements then i copied them again and showed where i had paid mortgage and bills by colour code,i put this in the bundle...

Lets hope its the letter telling your wife to go to the BHC and collect visa.I would phone on monday and they may explain what the letter is.
