Re: Visa issues. Dissertation Resubmission

Sorry I didn't get you. While applying for PSW, they check the hours of working. Right. I didn't get that university checks the hours of working. The university checks that you are eligible to apply, based on your qualification and on your compliance with your Student visa conditions. Separately, t...

I am just tensed about term times. I did full time in-between. Whether it will be issue for psw
It is the university that checks this and confirms your eligibility for the Graduate visa, so you need to ask them.

Re: Visa issues. Dissertation Resubmission

Also during resubmission of Dissertation, it is mandatory to stay with 20 hours work right. How do they create term time and off term time after 1st submission to 2nd submission. That's a question for your university, but it is term-time until you have completed the course according to the new end ...

Re: Visa issues. Dissertation Resubmission

You can apply for a new visa right up to the date of your current expiry date. As long as your university has issued a CAS, which they can only do if the course has not finished, which will be some time before the expiry date of the visa. Once you have a CAS, you can apply any time on or before the...

Re: Visa issues. Dissertation Resubmission

Is there any date that I must apply visa extension? I 'heard' before 28 days of expiry of current visa. Heard that where and from whom? Could you provide any uk gov documents about this so that I can argue with them. It's just normal practice, sponsoring students to complete their course. It is not...

Re: Visa issues. Dissertation Resubmission

They didnt say any specific reason but what they said was we cannot provide inorder to wait for results. It is not in order to wait for your results, it is to complete your course. They can issue a CAS until your new hand-in date of 15 January 2024, for which the visa will be issued until that date...

Re: Visa issues. Dissertation Resubmission

Visa department of the university refused such possibility of getting cas and all. Yes, but why? Is it the university policy, or are they saying Home Office rules don't allow it? Do you have any link from gov.uk saying about giving CAS on resits for universities. I couldn't find any documents on CA...

No-one here could possibly know that.

You need to keep in close contact with your university about your options if the AR is not decided by your enrolment deadline.

I requested for a new cas but they refused.
Why did they refuse to issue a CAS? This would be their choice, so I hope they are not hiding behind Home Office rules saying they are not allowed to.

Re: Switch to Skilled Worker visa from Student Dependet

That is what it says. Your spouse can only switch once they complete their course. Just to spell it out for clarity, this does not stop OP himself switching from Student dependant to Skilled worker whenever he wishes. It just means that OP's spouse needs to stay on their Student visa for now, and s...

No.

You can leave the UK or switch status at any point during the 3 years, but there is no option to apply for less time upfront.

Re: URGENT HELP: Graduate Dependent Visa for baby born in UK

If your visa expires on Jan 10, then you have until Jan 9th to put in visa application for PSW. This is also wrong. The deadline is 10 January itself. With respect, you could easily confuse and panic people with this wrong information you are posting. A good rule of thumb is to only post advice tha...

Re: URGENT HELP: Graduate Dependent Visa for baby born in UK

As I didn’t receive the passport of the baby yet so should I enter the answer as Yes or No for the question “is your child applying with you”. Re: URGENT HELP: Graduate Dependent Visa for baby born in UK

You can only add a child during PSW IF ONLY the child was born during PSW. Otherwise, there are no other exceptions. But I am not a solicitor and I cannot be 100% sure. As far as I know, you would not be able to add your kid during PSW. Where are you getting this information from? It is completely ...

Re: Graduate Visa (Post study work - PSW visa and dissertation resubmission

OP already confirmed that the university is not issuing any CAS for an extension. The university has given him to the expiry of his visa all bar one day to submit. They are unlikely to issue a CAS to extend to after that date. That's clear from their original post. The problem is that some universi...

Ask your university if they will sponsor you with a new CAS dated until the new submission date. You can then apply for an extension, which will be granted +4 months.

The deadline for any application is the expiry date of your current visa.

There may be advantages or disadvantages to applying earlier, but without knowing what type of application for permission to stay you are doing it is impossible to say.
