Re: Rejected Student Visa Australia - Will it effect my Tier 4 application?

In itself, the Australian refusal has no relevance to or bearing on a UK immigration application.

When checking your credibility the ECO may want to ask why your plans for study in Australia changed so quickly to studying in the UK instead, but I'm sure you have your reasons.

Re: Tier 4 extension maximum period

I would like to take Ph.D.and my query is Am I eligible to apply for Tier 4 visa???????? Yes. You seem to be concerned about the time cap, but an application for PhD studies is excluded from the cap. See paragraph 118 of the Tier 4 Policy Guidance, final bullet point. https://www.gov.uk/government/...

I'm reading a lot about there being additional restrictions on what sort of work can be done/how it is conducted on a Tier 5 Mobility Visa, but cannot seem to find a comprehensive rundown of what these are.
Where are you reading "a lot" about such restrictions? Links?

Re: Forgot to update my police registration. What now?

But what do you mean by "might" have to pay and "might" have your visa withdrawn? Did she tell you if you would receive a letter from the home office with the update or something like that? If so did she tell you when you would know? Or did she tell you would HAVE to pay and would HAVE your current...

Can you advise if Medical Insurance is mandatory for a student being in UK ?
You have paid the Immigration Health Surcharge as part of your application. If you do not know what this is, or what it covers, see https://www.gov.uk/healthcare-immigration-application

Would appreciate if anyone with similar case (tier 4 student general with dependents who are not accompanying you) can share their experience of the whole process. This is entirely normal and common. It does not add any complications or issues to the Tier 4 application. You may be over-thinking it.
