Re: Status of employment effect on Tier 4

Since I will not be employed during the visa application, how will that affect my visa application? It has no relevance or bearing on your Tier 4 application. I have more than enough funds from my savings (Tuition & living) for my education. My father is willing to give me a sponsorship letter as w...

Re: International PhD student - CAS/DES issue

I thought the short term student visa can also be applied from UK and not outside. Am I wrong here? Yes. you are wrong. In your opinion, do you think it is fair for me to ask the University to bear the cost of this additional visa application, when they have agreed to provide me the CAS for the Tie...

Re: International PhD student - CAS/DES issue

My primary case is about lost time and unfair treatment and not on the university's ruling about the DES i.e. based on the amount of time lost due to their failures, I have not crossed any deadlines of the University. In that case it is an internal matter that you first should pursue through the un...

See this topic started by someone who was in a similar position last year: https://www.immigrationboards.com/uk-tier-4-student-visas/international-phd-student-des-in-question-t205423.html#p1322631 I assume you are at the same university as that person. I mention the 8 year cap because you said you were coming out with an MPhil. Th...

Re: Tier 4 visa

As you have completed a postgraduate research course, you are subject to the 8-year cap. You need to calculate how much time you have spent in the UK on student visas, including the period of time you are asking for on the new course. If it exceeds 8-year cap, you cannot apply at all. If a new appli...

Re: Youtube

In terms of the Tier 4 work restriction, I would say no. It is not one of the types of permitted work in Paragraph 245ZW(c)(iii), and there is no specific exception for work undertaken online or with payments made or received in another country. It would also reasonably be seen as "engaging in busin...

No. See https://www.gov.uk/tier-4-general-visa/switch-to-this-visa I have also heard that there are recent changes introduced due to which you cannot make any in-country student a...

Re: Switching from Tier 2(General) to Tier 4

1) Can I switch from Tier 2(General) to Tier 4 to do MBA, as I did my Master's in IT previously from University? This is a question for your university. If they agree it is academic progression from your previous studies, they will confirm that on the CAS and you can apply in the UK -- as long as t...

Re: Resit Uni

Your CAS end date is indicating 31st of July is your end date. Therefore your University will monitor your current status - chances are they will pick up at some point in the next 6 months that your end date is incorrect (seems they gave you an extra 6 months). Course end date on the CAS is 31 July...

(1) What was the course end date on your CAS?
(2) What course is it?
(3) When did you come to the UK?

I think you have the wrong impression. If asked, your bank may verify that a specific document is genuinely issued by them, but they cannot give a random caller from the British Embassy access to your personal finances without your permission.

The CAS statement is for you, not for the Home Office. It is for your own information, and to help you complete the application form.

Any queries about your actual CAS, speak to your Tier 4 sponsor direct.
