Good for you Flickers!

This is the 2nd good report of quick processing times i've heard of in the last month.

Perhaps this is the UKBA's last ditch attempt to avoid going down in the books as an utterly incompetent government department.

Too late I say but well done none the less!

Have you been employed throughout the 5 year period? Maternity leave will not be considered as a seizure of exercising treaty rights.

Does your WRS certificate state the 12th?

Relax! There is nothing to worry about.

This is an understandable error which proof of your start date and cover letter will clear up in a second.

You can either apply to the UKBA for a replacement certificate (if you can delay your application for a few weeks) or include a cover letter explaining the situation and detailing (as much as you can remember) when and where she naturalised. Does she have a British Passport? You may also include this.

There is no profitable discussion to be had here on this issue.

If you feel so strongly about the redundancy of counter-signatories, direct your complaint to the IPS.

I second your thoughts mate, I was also under the impression that they would use the next day special delivery but my application reached them after 3 working days which clearly is not special next day delivery. Yes, they do bend the certificate without realising the value it may hold to some peopl...

There is hope! I received my PR after 2 months. It took 8 months and many letters to get my RC so really surprised this time around. Good for you! Based on observation there seems no clear cut tips that help for speedy processing though it always helps to send a well organised application. My situa...

Might be a silly detail to worry about but I was a bit concerned myself when I noticed that both my referees were born on the same day of the same month - 14th of Feb. How likely is that?! I began to wonder if one of them had made a mistake... Going through this momentous process can make one unders...

They were returned via the Post Office check and send service i.e. secure post. Do you mean the DX secure delivery company that the IPS uses? Did you tick the option on your passport application form for your docs to be returned by secure delivery (at an additional £3 fee)? If so, then they were re...

kinhell, just seen this today. I can apply for citizenship after 8th october but I am going away on 5th oct and don't come back till 31st oct so it looks like i will have to take LIUK test again. I understood that once someone has a LIUK pass certificate then it is valid for life. Is this not the c...

Thanks Guru. Did you complaint? Do they normally give compensation to cover costs etc? No, I didn't, as mine wasn't irreparably damaged. Yes, according to this IPS procedural doc. (under the heading - UK Documents) the IPS has an arrangement with the UKBA to issue replacement naturalisation certifi...

But what about your wife? No mention of her nationality or position...Is she also looking to naturalise? If so then it will be cheaper if you both make a joint application.

It is reassuring to know that those who have a degree taught in English and had taken the LIUK test pre-Oct. '13 have no additional hurdles to skip over or extra expenses to incur. The journey is time and financially intensive enough I feel.

P60s covering the 5 year qualifying period of your choosing should suffice.

RRH, for your entry into IT or DE to be entirely hassle-free (from an immigration stand point), you would need to either be (1) travelling with your husband or (2) joining him. If you wish to go ahead of him then you will need to satisfy the authorities on what basis you wish to independently enter ...

You must not have been absent from the UK for more than 90 days in the last year, but absences of up to 100 days may be disregarded. See here.

I am not sure whether you can use the period of holding ILR from 10 August 2012 - 10 August 2013 only...

Wait for additional comments.
