I don't think there is any time limit as long as you can substantiate her self employment with the required documents, and I think you will require comprehensive health insurance as well. I think ( as mentioned by others above ) that if someones sponsor goes to an EEA country outside UK and work there for 6 months and then come back , then that person can apply for residence card with the condition that he will remain financial dependant of his EEA sponsor during this period.

If you have retained ur right of residence after divorce (by living with ur ex for 3 years and one of which must be in uk while ur ex was exercising treaty rights) then u can apply for retention of right of residence and ask them to change ur name in new residence card .

arsenal22 i never heard of this that a PR is issued with less than 10 years duration. Are you sure it is PR or they gave you a residence card again. Because by law it must be renewable after 10 years not 5.
