EEA2 - applying from Australia

Hi I have only just stumbled across the EEA2 visa. My partner and I have been together for 3 years. We lived for 2.5 years together in London and the remainder in Australia. Would it be possible to apply for the EEA2 visa in Australia? (Canberra) My partner is French and I am Australian. We had live...

leaving UK for one year

HI

I have a tier 1 that expires on October 2011.

I am planning on travelling to Australia for one year and returning to the UK in Jan 2011. Will my visa still be valid? (i think it should be)
Also, do i need to inform the Home office that i will be out of the UK for one year?

thanks

if you dont' have struggles finding a job in the economioc downturn then you'll prob have struggles competing with the influx of immigrants who come to the UK when their is an unturn. It's all down to persistence really. If you want something, and do something about it, it will come in the end.

I think the ease or difficulty of getting a job depends on what industry you are in. So many jobs are still being put up by recruiters and on job sites. I think people are more scared than they should be.

heya I also wouldn't recommend you commit fraud. A former colleague of mine who had a mortgage in the UK lied in application. He provided a fake employer letter and forged my boss' signature. He went back to India to apply and the home office contacted her. They sent her the employer letter and she ...

great helloimran! Then you call again later (in a week or 2) and tell them you have sent in additonal documents, and can they confirm if it has arrived. It doesn't matter if you send the documents in or not (I did) but it makes them go through their computer system more comprehensively. When i call ...

heya helloimran Don't take what they say too seriously. I noticed that alot of the cases on the 16 Sept (which was my appl date as well) was assigned to a CW on approx the 10th Oct. If you are really worried, just call them again and say that someone you spoke to beforehand told you your case was as...

Heya Madihi11, thanks for that. My last day is the 1st of Dec but I am giving myself until February to find a good job in Media or Public Relations. I'm sending out CVs today but if I don't find anything suitable I'll take all of December and half of Jan off to go travelling as well. I'm planning fo...

heya, i applied from within the UK and my bank statements were original but not signed or stamped and my visa got approved. However, you should check what your country's rules are as i think they may differ slightly in each country.

If you are currently a Foundation Doctor then I am almost certain you can't get a visa because there are too many doctors in the UK and not enough jobs. But once again, you should double check with a lawyer, i think

hey Sinead, i think you need to call a lawyer to get some advice. You mentioned that you are a locum, but as a consultant or Specialist registrar? Consultants can get visas but SpRs cannot as they are still doctors in training. It states on the visa that doctors in training cannot apply/work in the ...

you should put in the line in your letter 'it would be greatly appreciated if you consider my request for urgent treatment, however, please do not withdraw my application if urgent treatment is not granted'.

heya I've also realised that you really can believe what the CC say too much. They told me on 2 occasions that my visa was completed on the 16th of October. Prior to that they had always said it was under consideration. But my visa was stamped on the 10th of Oct, the day I was informed that it was a...
