she said that the lesson she learnt from it is to bring as much money as possible when you are moving to the UK. They are lucky because they saved alot so they are not in a bad financial situation yet despite the crazy amount of rent they pay!!

my cousin arrived in London in June and she works in finance. It was a struggle for her and her partner to get a job. She has advised all her friends in finance not to come to London until the industry gets better, or wait till next year

I read an article that said the trend is happening in Australia, but not really in NZ and South Africa. There is a TNT magazine artcile on it. I think its really unfair that people are getting rejected bec they are working the full 1 year of the WHV, and given the current rejections, if I were you I...

how did you find an employer who would transfer your WP? I thought that would be really difficult. How long is the estimated transfer period? I am going to fix up my resume this weekend and start applying for jobs where i can transfer my WP just incase my tier 1 application falls through.

hey Justice

I was told by a lady at the home office that Tier 1 apps and HSMP apps are processed differently. So I don't think the timeframe of one affects the other.

Though I have noticed that old HSMP apps are getting processed more often this week.

ths finance indsutry in the UK is just having a downturn due to redundancies, large companies merging/collapsing, etc. If you are eager to get a job straight away then i qould suggest reducing the salary you are asking for. My cousin works in the finance industry and has told all her friends from Au...

I've clarified it with the home office now. They said hsmp and tier 1 are different and processed differently. They are processing HSMP applications up to the 19th of May and Tier 1 applications up to 27 of Aug now.

confusion about hsmp and tier 1

i think i am getting confused when people refer to tier 1 and hmsp. Was there 2 separate forms before and after the 30th of June? So when people are waiting for their hsmp they have applied in the old system and tier 1 for the new system. Is that correct? If that is the case, are the waiting times a...

Hey ness

You mentioned that since you applied within the UK you can't get admin review? I have not heard of that before.

Does it mean that you need to do a completely new application?

the most recent one
I have entry clearance as a working holiday maker and then on a WP
I added the WP details as it is the valid one. I wouldn't worry to much because they will have all the details on record
