Re: Naturalisation Application-Extension to Info Request Dea

First thing first, do you have a letter from university saying your degree was taught in English? If you have that, you do not need ELA. does your degree give you points in PBS? Then send it and again you do not need ELA. Assuming the answer to both the above questions are NO,send a print out of NAR...

Re: MN1...British Passport...Indian Visa - What is the journ

I can not comment on MN process as we were settled when the child was born and he qualified for british citizenship by birth. The only differences between PIO and OCI are: 1) PIO is valid for 20 years where OCI is valid for life time. However, I think for a child you need to get a new one issued any...

Re: British Passport application processing timelines (only)

Please can you help? I had my passport interview on May 16 in Manchester. I answered most questions without any issues but there were 2 questions I was unsure of: previous store cards (I could only name 1 as it was sometime ago) and knew my mom's DOB but had to calculate how old she actually is whe...

Re: The journey is over - Passport received today

Congrats 27 pence!! Your journey sounds so identical to me. I also came to the UK for my masters in Feb 2008 and had a job offer back home. ALso got married in May 2011!!!! Got ILR in July 2013 but couldn't be bothered applying for naturalisation as I felt the money was quite an extortion. Finally ...

No, if you don't have something like this (click) , best she takes a test (click) to prove B1 English is met in addition to LIUK. Wrong. I myself have received ELA certifying me at c1 level and I did not have a letter from my university. I called them and asked if they would process ELA without let...

Hi Jeeth, Thanks for the reply, her original certificate was an Adexcel English course, passed at level 3 at our local college around 4 years ago and recognised on the OFQUAL register, but refused as not ESOL approved. She sat the IELTS course at the weekend, a few weeks to wait for the results, th...

Re: Citizenship | confused with English requirement

Hi Romila If point based calculator is not giving you any point, in all probability UK NARIC will not be able to certify your English language skill either. Both use the same data. In that case yes, you have to take a recognised English test. It is upto you if you want to risk paying NARIC hoping th...

Yes he can be your referee. You do not need anything to prove that he is a manager. This country is full of managers and less doers and so they do not doubt a manager!! Just make sure the word "manager" is some where in his designation that he writes in the form !! PS: My line managers did mine and ...

Hi all,

Just read the photo guidance for passport and it says it must be taken within the last month. That means I can not use the photo used during naturalisation which was recent at that time and now almost 2 months old.

Just wondering what others did? Please share.

@akash08, Yes you are right, may be in tom.tom's case something is not right. But my case is very obvious, i didnt show them the comparability part in the PBS sheet, that was a silly mistake from my side. However, you have been asked to submit the language letter from University as well which is no...
