Re: Travel outside UK for child (India passport and no UK vi

The process is to apply for right of abode certificate from aborad and this is specifically for your case when a british citizen does not have a British passport.

People generally get this certificate within 8 to 10 days.

Not sure why you want to create your own solution?

This is the copy and paste from official guidance If you’ve lost your certificate or you’re waiting for graduation You must have proof that you’ve passed your degree. This can be either: an original and official transcript with your name, the name of the institution, your degree and confirmation of ...

Re: ILR to Citizenship Enquiries

Lot of complication .. Is not it? whether your wife can remain as PBS dependant or should apply for FLR is very debatable. One of my friend was asked not to do this by Solihull office even when her wife was ready with application form the day he was getting his ILR. they travelled to India in that s...

Re: TS10 - Red Light Conviction and Naturalisation

All these silly bans tell me that my decision of not driving from the point they changed the rule till I got citizenship was not as absurd as my colleagues thought. Speeding , jumping light can always happen in error of judgement and to wait for 3 years for this is too much. Repeated offence is anot...

It is definitely not unusual. Post Office sends your application after number of days and then it takes time for them to enter your record in the system.

I have waited 6 working days.

There is nothing like wasting my time. Your statement that there is no topic on this was so odd that i had to write. Coming to the topic, this is the rule for ESOL Qualifications in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) at Entry level 3, Level 1 or Level 2, that include speaking and listeni...

There are at least 100 threads on this subject and you can not find one? Anyway nothing wrong in repeating here but there are loads of threads with this topic, questions exactly like yours have been answered so many times. I do not know about ESOL but someone will surely answer. If in hurry, just se...

Re: Travel outside UK for child (India passport and no UK vi

How can you apply for passport without naturalisation? Your son is not british by birth and he will be british only after naturalisation. Without getting his naturalisation certificate you can not apply for British passport. Family visitor visa is not the right category. Since your son is Indian (ti...

Re: ILR to naturalisation (separated from partner)

It is bit surprising to see people always have this doubt, I do not understand why. There are only 3 official marital status after one is married, 1) Married 2)Separated 3)Widowed There is not a staus - Divorce Likely, Married but Living Separately etc. Unless you are separated by law, you are marri...

If you do not, you will face various problems at various steps. Unlike in India, people here do not underst...

In case your problem remains unresolved despite repeated applications/visits to the Mission, then you are advised to meet the Minister – Coordination, E-mail: min[dot]coord[at]hcilondon[dot]in (for OCI and PIO and Community Matters) and Minister – Consular, E-mail: min[dot]cons[at]hcilondon[dot]in (...

Re: Passport application form question?

If you are not claiming citizenship based on your grandparents status, you do not need to fill this part.

Simply write unknown or leave it blank.

I and many others did this and happily got our passports.

If you still feel uncomfortable, just make it up.

Since you expect reply only from expert/gurus, it is very difficult to answer for lesser mortals like me. You provide your wifes pre marriage name + surname in 1.7 Nothing in 1.8 On page 15, say surname changed after marriage. Nothing to worry about, i am not guru but my wife did this and she has he...

Re: OCI validity/cons?

Oci is valid for life time and hence there is nothing called oci renewal. Stay in india for 5 years and you are indian citizen again. Financial status is exactly same as NRI. i guess since you are eligible for naturalisation, you already atleast have a Nri status and all that continues. Many people ...

Re: Forgot to submit driving license which was used for the

Spoke with the NCS again to verify. The NCS has a special agreement with the Home Office. There is a general checkbox/list they check that essentially confirms everything's okay with the application; reportedly nothing specific about driving licenses. Thus they normally don't send a driving license...
