I am sorry to hear that and it is quite stressful situation, I hope you will get a job soon. As far as Tier 1 G migrant your visa states "No recourse to public funds" , simple answer is "NO"

The earliest an applicant can apply is 28 days before. I have been told by my solicitor that we can make an application more than 28 days earlier and he can get it approved. My gap is almost 90 days. Also, regarding your absences, it is on chances but if there are evidence for your absences then you might be ok, I am not sure though, I have read in the same forums regarding cases more than 180 days absences but I will suggest do produce all the relevant evidences and proofs for your absences out...
