Man u just have to sent them lot's of prove as you can . I have a friend as well who got marraige to a EEA national and got 5 years but now he want to get devorce and marraige again but he does not know if the will approve it or not ? What is ur status to uk?

To be honest with you i don't really understand your question at all , do you live with ur wife for 3 years r while marraige to her and did she worked 1 year or study if so u have the right to see a lawyer if not then i think the home office maybe right but still contact a lawyer.

I don't think you need to inform them but you have to understand that when you want to apply for ur PR you may need ur wife help . And for the grant i don't think the is any problem for that .
