The COS number is a Ref# for all of that information. Once the High Commission punch it into the system at their end they will see all of the details that have been input from your employer. ON the application form you should have (Appendix 5) There should be boxes to insert the CoS. Do so here. A o...

If your company is saying what you have quoted then it may be the fact that they are willing to sponsor you the £800 maintenance requirement. I would check the application and if this is the case your Bank Statements do not need to be provided as the company will cover the full amount.

1. You can't switch status from a Visit Visa to a dependant Visa In the UK. She will have to go back to her country of origin to apply for the visa itself, re-enter the UK stating her intentions and obtain a fresh entry clearence stamp.

2. This doesn't belong in the Tier 2 section of these forums.

lol if you look back at this time last year there are identical posts to this. :D I would have to say that after christmas would be a good bet. As John has quite rightly said, never make plans to overstay. It is never anything that you want to have to put on an application or have an immigration officer see in your passport upon arrival.

Sorry I mis-read.

I would merely encorage you to be very vigalante if the company starts asking for money for fees or anything else. :)

Good luck otherwise and no you don;t need to submit contract information to the embassay as this will be done by your company when they issue the CoS online to you.

Hmmm. I recently heard of an American girl submit a Tier 2 application to state group 2 that claim to do most of thier applications in 2 -5 days. She got hers back after 20 days. The reason was that although the High Comission recived the application, they didn't open it for 2 weeks, then made a dec...

I seriously doubt that a highly respected US company would put themselves on the line to break UK immigration law just for me. I've heard of quite a few compnaies (Inclduing a very large Oil compnay) that get so large they simply just don't care. Everything isn't quite as shiny an polished as large...

One should read Mein Kampf, who saved the World from that? Those times it was dog eat dog, I feel no need to apologise for it, that was then and now is now. I could argue that the UK was so class ridden then it was only the top 1% of society that did those things in the colonial world, the rest wer...

Unfortunately Checking with the Home Office is Useless in any method that you wish to use, plus the fact it changes nothing. There is no real way of checking the processing time; it's really just a case of waiting and seeing. No applications in the last month went beyond 60 days and given that hers ...
