I think that's not gonna work, you would need at least your ex's bank statements for that particular period of time with enough money to show he was financially independant. Plus thay always ask for private medical insurance. No point to apply, they will reject.

Hi Sanita, If your situation is like that, before you inform HO you should make sure that your husband will give you all his documents to prove him working in the UK for at least one year. If he threatens you like that, are you sure he will do favours to you?? Plus, it is very important that you hav...

Hi, I didn't send my documents, I didn't want to take risks like that, so I just send a letter with a detailed description of my situation with a copy of decree absolute and copy of my residence card. That's what other people on this forum did. After that HO supposedly has to send you a reply and as...

I informed HO of my divorce 5 months ago, still didn't hear from them, then they told me on the phone I need to wait till my residence card expires and then apply for permanent residence. Obviously I would need all proof on my ex side when I do that. That is all I know. Maybe they will reply, who kn...

I think you should provide as many documents as you can, just send them anything you can get your hands on. The more the better. If your ex was a students they can ask for a private medical insurance like in the case below, as apparantly if you are self-sufficient you can't use NHS service. That is ...

I don't know if they will reply or not, and if you call HO you don't know where your call is redirected, could be India. You dial either general enquiry line, or the line for European enquiries. In both centers they told me the same. Maybe they have changed the law by now. Anyway, if they write to m...

Hi everybody, Actually I am still waiting for HO reply. It's been 3 months since I informed them of my divorce by a normal letter sent to their address in Liverpool, as I was told by HO customer service advisor on the phone. The thing is I maybe they will ignore my letter and I am waiting in vain???...

Hi,

I think in your situation if there is a date on that letter, which, I think should be there, it's fine, it means that your ex was employed there since May up to the date of that letter, but if I were you, I would ask your ex for payslips as well to be on the safe side.

Good luck!!!

Hi Morpheo, Thanks for keeping us updated. I think they don't need documents about your ex. They already asked for that when you applied for retention of rights. So they gave you this response, I believe, as if you didn't apply for retention. If they issued you with this 5 year new visa, then you ca...

retention of rights after divorce EEA

Hi everybody. last update. As I said, I sent a letter informing HO of my divorce. One month later they sent a Certificate of Application, a standard one, like they sent to me when I applied for RC on EEA2 form. In that CoA they ask not to make any travel plans until my passport is returned...I actul...

Hi all, I informed HO, 2 weeks ago, now wait for their reply. Obviously, they will ask for routine documents from me, as they did with other mombers of these forum. My fear is they might go back to me in 7 months or more, like in case with Morpheo. There is nothing I can do about it. What annoys me ...

As well we have proof of living together.BUT!! They said it's totally discretion of a senior caseworker as I violated EU law by li...

Hi

Hi,

Did you prove that you have where to live and your partner has enough funds to support you in the UK?

Is he a British citizen?

I am facing the same problem soon.

Unmarried partners visa with new partner & divorce EU sp

Hi everybody, I have a question if anyone knows, if that could work out. Thank you very much for your advice, but I spoke to HO and they said that I will be rejected CoA, if I don't apply for retention of rights and submit all necessary documents. As they said, in the eyes of HO I am still married to my EU husband, hence can't stay legally here, hence apply for CoA. So t...

Thanks a lot for your advice. Tell me if you applied for this CoA yourself and how it was. Don't want to ...

I don't know. I think ho will need to see my divorce certificate and proove of our marri...
