As an additional helping nudge to the ECO, type the list of all the documents you mentioned in the OP, colour code it with the relevant documents. The less time the ECO spends verifying, better for you :)

Good Luck

It looks as though, the Home Office has withdrawn their challenge to your appeal.Obviously if that has happened, they will have notified the adjuticator of the withdrawl for reasons only known to them. It looks as though the HO have sent the decision to you before the adjuticator. That should follo...

I still cant fathom for the life of me, why the OP cannot settle in Egypt with his wife, if according to him, he has a good enough job, and i am sure, his wife would get a pretty decent employment, in Egypt, with her British work experience. As I said earlier, marriage is a bond to stay together, im...

This will hopefully change though because those Pakistanis who are British-born are more british than their parents. Some would even be offended if you call them Pakistanis ! To be very frank, my wife is one of them :) And, I dont blame her. First of all, she really is not Pakistani, she is British...

I concur Frontier Mole. Me too, incredibly dearly beloved it might seem but certain no former Eastern Bloc girl I'm aquainted with would go near an Indian or Pakistani, or indeed Bangladeshi or Chinese, they've been sheltered too long to appreciate diversity, they need time. Even those from 'Kavkas...

In my humble opinion, both of these guys can easily settle down in Egypt as the OP already has a respectable job, and if the wife is willing to relocate to a third country, whats stopping her to relocate to Egypt? I understand the UK has its attractions, but the fact of the matter is, that marriage ...

Hi, Sorry for the late reply as I was on the move for the last 3-4 days, and could not spare time to browse on the forum. Answer 1 - Yes, it is 100% confirmed that you can reapply while your appeal is going on. Since reapply gets you a decision quicker, if you get a visa, you can notify the AIT and ...

This is actually too 'amazing' to comment on :D Without getting personal because that would take this topic somewhere else, If you read my post a bit carefully you will see that I am a Pakistani myself and for the past few years that I have lived here in europe, the thing that I have wished for the...

Also, you will have to keep in mind that a good spouse visa case should always include pictures of your wedding, family members present, is a big plus. I would also advise you to include letters from close members of both your family and hers of approval of this marriage.

I was told by number of solicitors that the Pakistani divorce was valid and is recognised in UK. However, they did say with BHC and visa application its a 50-50, all depends on who opens my file. I know. Thats what makes it the most ridiculous as they accept marriage documents in Pakistan but not d...

here is another address, which is a little quicker:

Appeals.Determination@fco.gov.uk

This is only helpful, if your appeal has already been decided, otherwise, you are better off with the address already posted above.

Not to mention. Always there to help. I have gone through this suffering myself, so I understand how you feel. As far as your refusal is concerned, if you could get the exact wording on the refusal letter, may be I could help you with making a stronger case. Did you use solicitors in Pakistan? If yo...

The link for IAS - www.iasuk.org

The link for JCWI - www.jcwi.org.uk

Just bear in mind though that even if the appeal does get allowed, it will take you the better part of 9 months-1 year before your partner gets the visa. So you have to be patient.

Then you better sent a copy by fax to your relatives here in Pakistan and get it attested by the foreign ministry office either in Islamabad, or in Lahore. I think Lahore is a nearer option if you guys are from Toba. The office is at Grace Road off Mall Road, and they will attest the english version...

Based on the question posed by respected members, and from an ECO's perspective, this is making a marriage quite complicated and knotty. If you have already been to Thailand to meet your partner's family, why not marry in Thailand? That would make the marriage valid by default and you would be saved...

Del Piero - There is no way, the BHC is going to recognize a divorce settlement from anywhere in Pakistan, whether it be the Supreme court, it is ridiculous i know, but thats the way it is. Our neighbour did all the authentications, and verifications, he possibly could but to no avail. His visa didn...
