It would be great if people asked questions once they actually have any questions. Discussing what could be in the package which has not yet been delivered, and other learned members jumping in to give their intelligent guess seems a bit silly.

Its best to mention a different council in section 1.21 of form AN.
Trying to change the council after the approval is a very bad idea indeed. Its a lot of hassle and certainly not worth it.

There is no certificates or letter issued to say that a conviction has been spent. No government department has the power to say that when a conviction should or would be spent. The rehabilitation happens automatically under the rehabilitation of offenders act 1974. So, if your were convicted on 25t...

You are trying to query something which I am sure you know yourself. Read the application form and guidance again. Just calculate the absences counting backwards from the date you apply and work out the asbsenses. If you fit in, apply, if you dont, then dont apply. By the way, where does it say in t...

If would be the date you appeared in court. If you can't remember the exact date, then the best way would be not to apply in august. Apply in the first week of september, then you can be sure that your sentence is spent.

I do not see a point of pondering over the issues just yet. First go and apply for ILR in ocotober 2011. Once you have ILR, then come and check what the requirements for BC are at the time of you BC application which in your case would be around end of 2012. Everyone can predict including myself, bu...

@ bbtt. Now let me put down everything as precisely as I can. Your driving disqualification got spent when it was over. But you are missing one important bit here. You got two sentences. Driving disqualification and a fine. Fine requires 5 years rehabilitation period. When you filled up the form AN,...

Don't want to sound like a grand dad but you have done a utterly silly thing and wiped out your chances of getting BC for next ten years. If you had declared your conviction and then UKBA refused it, then you could have again applied on 1/8/2011 when your conviction was spent. Having a conviction is...

Best way would be to apply once you have paid all the money due. Dont forget to ask your debtors to issue you a letter that the account has been settled. Also ask them to inform credit reference agencies. After about a month of settling the debt, obtain your credit file and check whether the credit ...

Ben asked you a very relevant question Was he dependant on you, or a member of your household, in the country from which he came? The residence period of naturalisation based on marriage to a British Citizen is 3 years. So just count 3 years from the date of your entry on spouse visa. You basically need to forget about previous overstay.

1. Should they register their child as BC first before applying for child benefit? Its upto them, but it will be a good idea to register the child to avoid any confusions about the childs status in UK. 2. Can they apply for child benefit and child tax credit at the same time? Yes. 3. Do they need to...

Yes, your friend who got ILR is eligible to apply for child credit, or any other benefits he is entitled to. The benefits that require joint claim of husband and wife, must have the details of both husband and wife, even if the wife is an overstayer. Not mentioning wife's name where it needs to be m...

Yes, I agree, the best and the easiest way out is to apply for a spouse visa outside the UK. He has been in UK for a long time, but sadly it doesn't make much difference as far as UKBA is concerned. Firstly a spouse visa from within UK is not possible, and secondly even if they apply for Discretiona...
