That is a far cry from the 20% rejection rate! page 41 of this may interest you regarding rejection rates. http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/documents/policyandlaw/consultations/family-migration/consultation.pdf?view=Binary Just a heads up! While I realise this is not directed at EEA ap...

Hi There, as far as I know it's 15 working days. They get sent to Poland to be processed. I think that each embassy will have a page of visa application times, like the one in the Czech Republic does: http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/countries/czech-republic/processing-times/?langname=UK%20English...

Don't look at the figures too much. stats can be misleading. if all the 3% took 16 days, they will still be in the (up to) 40 days column. The instruction for the ECO on UKBA website say: Priority must be given to applications for EEA family permits. Wherever possible a decision should be made at t...

Re: Your advice needed

Dear all, I wonder if you could help me with this personal query, I am a british citizen, my wife is a Non-European citizen, she is living with me here in the UK based on spouse-visa. Now we both want to visit my brother-in-law, who is a danish citizen, and he is happy to provide accommodation and ...

I am in the same boat

JP70, I am in the same boat as you. Casa has a very valid point and I can confirm it is paramount that the applicant has strong ties to her home country and is financially capable of meeting the expenses. I had an ex girlfriend who, despite I accepted all expenses, paid tickets etc., was refused her...

It may be easier.....

It may be easier for your visitor if you sign a "sponsorship undertaking form." The ECO may regard you are more serious in sponsoring your visitor in that you voluntarily has been proactive and sought out your responsibilities as a sponsor. http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/policyandlaw/guidance/ecg...

Ok so how should I phrase it if I have to avoid mentioning her nationality? Just not mention it? Or refer to her as an "EU Citizen" with family in Denmark (she doesn't really have family there)? My best advice to you being Danish myself is NEVER mentioning you know someone in Denmark. The immigrati...

Re: Schengen scenario with EEA-Family-members

Just an imagined but "funny" scenario: A family-member of an EEA national, resident in the UK, wants to travel to Poland for a week, and have a day-trip to Lithuania across the border, together with the EEA-spouse. According to Schengen-rules, the applicant would have to apply with the Polish Consu...

The Eu citizen then needs to find a job (or otherwise exercise treaty rights). Once that is done, then the non-EU can apply for a Residence Card. And remember that is going to be real real easy with an official unemployment rate of just 26 percent. Then add all the illegal immigrants on top of the ...

Hi,

Ask yourself the question: "Why do I have a Tarjeta det familiar Communitario"
And the answer will be your question....
is my card only valid as long as my spouse is in Spain with me?
So, as Bob Marley would sing "No woman [a lot of] cry"
