Re: Entering northern Ireland after tier 5 via republic of Ireland.

If the OP is leaving the UK/Ireland before YMS visa expires they should re-enter as a visitor. If they're not then I believe they will overstay.

Re: Entering northern Ireland after tier 5 via republic of Ireland.

UK-Ireland is internal travel within the CTA, hence no stamp and no immigration check. Believe me, as I deal with short-term CoS for non-visa nationals all the time; I've previously had clients who sought out officers to stamp their passports on return to the UK from Ireland - they were told that it...

Re: Entering northern Ireland after tier 5 via republic of Ireland.

Worth bearing in mind that if the original poster is flying to Dublin from the UK they won't get an Irish entry stamp, so that plan would not work. UK and Ireland is common travel area; internal travel without border checks.

Is the original poster a visa national for UK purposes?

I agree with CR001 - you can only apply in a country where you a work / residence permit.

Re: COS ERROR

All sponsors have a sponsor licence number; it's different from the CoS number. CoS numbers all have 11 digits, but sponsor licence numbers are different and have a varying number of letters and numbers. Sponsor should be able to provide sponsor licence number.

That would depend on what type of project, where you're being paid from etc.

Usually within about a month but the UKVI say they can take up to 18 weeks (over 4 months).

Re: Tier 5 grace period?

If you overstay you run the very real risk of not being re-admitted. There is no automatic grace period. The UKVI can exercise some leeway if you apply late for an extension of stay, but you won't be doing that. The date in your passport is the date by which you should either apply for some sort of ...

I gather it's strict. If the statements are duplicates or internet printouts they don't accept them unless they're certified by the bank. If they even LOOK like copies they can be rejected.

Re: Entered UK on tier 5, but border didnt stamp Vignette

Did you perhaps enter via Ireland? You don't get a UK stamp if you enter via Dublin.

You can work if your BRP says so - that is your proof you can work. The visa in the passport is probably only for 1 month anyway, to get you in.

Re: Cos plus 28 days

The visa can be issued for up to 1 month past the end of the CoS. But your visa is 14 days past the end of the CoS. The visa/stamp in your passport is when you can stay until. You can't stay a day longer.

Re: Youth Mobility Scheme Tier 5 Visa (YMS) expiry

You'll get trouble in future if you overstay at all. Even 1 day, technically, although it gets worse the longer it goes on. The date you're landed to is when you can stay until. Stay a day longer and you're illegal.

Re: Work trip to Europe

That depends; the countries of Europe do not have a common approach to work such as this. If it's counted as a photo shoot on location (for instance) then most countries allow that without a work permission of any kind. In my experience the only country in the EU which views a studio shoot as a poss...

The company should request a CoS allocation of 1 right away - it can take maybe 2 months for this to come through. Don't leave it too late.

No Immigration control between England or Scotland and Northern Ireland. Just an ID check, if at all.

Re: Cos terminated

Even so, if your reason to be here has been curtailed then the officer might not re-admit you. It's risky to try and re-enter, in my opinion. You'd be treated as a visitor and would have to satisfy the officer you were not here to work and had a genuine intention to visit and then to leave.

Re: How many times can I apply for a tier 5 with same sponso

It would be more likely to succeed if there was a gap between the CoS / visas. 2 years is the max with one sponsor in the rules on extending; because Tier 5 does not lead to settlement and is meant to be temporary. When you get these 12 month visas are you based here; or do you just come in and out ...

Re: HELP! Travel after declaring BRP stolen/lost outside UK

Exactly. It would be harsh to have to sit in a foreign country weeks longer than you'd planned just to get a visa that entitles you to do what you're already entitled to do. You're an Australian passport holder, right? So a visa is not required to get on the flight. You could perhaps spend a couple ...

Re: HELP! Travel after declaring BRP stolen/lost outside UK

Does anyone you know have access to a copy of the BRP? That would help. Even the unique BRP number.

I'd say go for it - plead your case at the border. They can check your story is correct and verify you had a valid BRP.

Re: HELP! Travel after declaring BRP stolen/lost outside UK

This just goes to show what a folly it was for the UK government to stop stamping the passport for the whole validity of the visa. This system where they stamp you for 1 month visa and then the BRP replaces that stamp; it's crazy. Why not just stamp the passport for the whole term as well? Then you'...

Re: Tier 5 and EU Passport?

If you come here on a Tier 5 YMS visa and subsequently receive your Polish passport that's perfectly legal. You could then pop out of the UK, use the Polish passport for re-entry and, thereafter, not have any time limits on your stay as long as you meet the relevant rules regarding EU nationals.

If the sponsor had only given the original poster the CoS number then this could have been a genuine error but the letter from UKVI states that a CoS printout was provided. An incorrect CoS number on a printout can't possibly be an error; it must be fraud by the sponsor. Take the ba**ards to court a...
