Just thought I would post to let you know that I received my RC today.

Thank you Ben and Directive/2004/38/EC so much - I doubt I would be in England were it not for you two.

Cheers, Carla

I got my RC! I'm so relieved. I sent them one letter by fax to request that my application be expedited on 4 March, citing several reasons, and my RC is dated 5 March. My 6 months was up on 14 March, so I'm pleased I didn't have to wait as long as a lot of others. Now I'm going to book some holidays...

Hey, I've been told my docs have been sent by recorded delivery on Tues, so they should arrive today. I want to sit at home and wait for the postman, but I have to go to work. Luckily my husband is working from home today so he'll be here to sign for it. I'll let you know as soon as I get home, plea...

Yes, Britney Spears is an excellent example of someone else who entered into a marriage for the wrong reasons. This is a public forum, there is no need to become irate because someone expressed an opinion that differs from one which you would like to hear. Why did your solicitor advise you to remain...

Im sorry but why are you going about my marriage was for convenience? The HO already granted me a Residence Card in 2005 and again I ve proven my Right of Retention of Residancy, its clear my marriage has nothing to do with that. Even the HO is convinced so I dont have to prove to anyone else. than...

677ano - I'm still stressed, I won't be able to relax until I know for definite that I have the RC.

Forza - the HO wrote to me on 30 November requesting further evidence that my sponsor and I are living together. I have heard nothing from them since.

I called Liverpool yesterday (12/03) and they told me that a decision was made on Thursday (11/03) and that my passport etc is waiting to be despatched by special delivery. So that's good news. I don't know yet what their decision is, but at least they have made one within 6 months.

I am of the opinion that the EEA FP route is not for you. The EEA FP is for family/extended family members of EEA nationals who want to join their EEA family member in the UK. You can't just fly to Geneva and apply for the EEA FP and return to the UK a few days later. If you went to live in Switzerl...

I think it's pathetic for them to use the excuse that people have been waiting longer than me so I'm not going to have my case resolved sooner. Who's fault is it that other people have been waiting since 2008? I'd love to see what is going on in that office. Can they not offer their staff some overt...

If you intend to stay until June 2012, then I would put 2.5 years. I put 2 years in my application, and included a short cover letter explaining our situation, and that my husband and I intend to live in the UK for approximately 2 years so he could further his career before moving to Australia (wher...
