Hi, There are 2 answers here and it's how you approach it 1. 38k in Edinburgh for 10yrs exp is definitely on the lower side and especially when you are categorized as a skilled worker. I was in the Java/J2EE line and have so many of my friends in this line. Avg pay for 4 yrs is £35k in this line an...

Tim555, Did you not go on and on about how I am a photocopier and only duplicating you very recent one liner answer to someone? May I know what you are doing here? You have done this before and when I confronted you, all I got was some snide remark. Well it's out here in the open. You wrote so much ...

For someone like Saikrishna seeking advice, actual number of people advising counts. If only one person says its not good, dont come, then unless it's GOD or Gordon Brown stating, its tough to accept. It sure helps if there are few more posts to confirm the situation on the ground rather than ONE pe...

Karpu, this is a great forum with well seasoned professionals ready to provide advice to those who want it BUT from the mere fact that you are planning to come here on a job search with just £1400 and that too based in London, I believe you have not done your research properly or you have not state...

Hi Saikrishna, You have been here before and tried your chances in the market. Nothing has changed much from then to now so in general the market is still tough. Jobs are there but things are still difficult. Since you have already tried once, do not waste your hard earned money and time by coming h...

As a general rule, a bank account is not mandatory to go for an interview or secure a job. Before someone jumps at how I can say this, well then, the process my company and so do many other companies follow are 1. Job secured and person signed on 2. For a salary account, employee letter is required ...

No hard feelings Tim, guess its only right to let you know, but first let me tell you I dislike personal attacks from insolent and negative people. Sorry to say but Tim555 has indeed been discouraging more than giving a 'true' picture of things on the ground. Maybe he works in a domain or sector that is truly facing a bad time but once again, that does not speak for the whole market in the UK. There are so many links and articles on crazy stori...

If you want to extend it, then 1. Old Rules still apply. That is, no Master's required 2. You need to show you are economically active. That means if possible you need to be employed at the point of extension to strengthen your case and moreover, you have to provide 12 of the last 16months payslips ...

Does the Indian Embassy, like the UKBA, guarantee that in case of the passport being lost or stolen in the post, they will sort out issues? I do know that the UKBA guarantees the application if sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery and hence many apply by post for various visas. However, in case of th...
