Your Mum is not liable for council tax?

Third party support isn't allowed so if he says he's not contributing towards rent and bills then the visa won't be given.

ohhh..an interesting topic. Nobody answers the OP's question with a correct context, and a conservative naysayer who has nothing to do with immigration( he, his parents, his grandparents are all sons and daughters of the soil, proud fellow) is bashing gordon brown and every other immigrant within r...

Yes i do want the UK out of the EU. Just like the majority of Brits do. I don't think this is true, in my professional circles especially, being able to work in Germany/Belgium/Netherlands without fuss is a fantastic boon, and these guys are earning up to a grand a day, the vast majority of this mo...

No i'm not Danish. No i'm not on drugs. Yes i do want the UK out of the EU. Just like the majority of Brits do, which is why Labour reneged on their promised referendum on the Lisbon Treaty. And no i haven't become a job seeker.

The reason that the government put no restrictions on Eastern Europeans when they first had access to the European market was because they didn't expect half of Poland to arrive within several weeks. They expected something like 12,000 and about 400 billion (ye so a slight exaggeration but something...

Have you never heard of marriages of convenience? I guess not. How about the arranged marriages in the Indian sub-continent and amongst Muslims? I guess you haven't heard of that either. Someone living in the UK or Europe commands a lot of money in those circles. But that doesn't happen in your litt...

kindley, Unemployment is above 2.5 million, it is around 6 million. If you do any sort of research into who can claim unemployment benefits then you will see that anyone with over £6k worth of savings is excluded from that and other benefits. That rules out pretty much anyone over the age of 40 fro...

Well the actual unemployment in the UK is closer to 6 million and not the official 2.5 million or whatever the massaged figures suggest. I'd hardly say that Labour has stimulated the economy either, they've bankrupted the UK! I'd also say that creating just under a million jobs in the civil service ...

Visas were never needed for the vast majority of Western Europeans to travel to other Western European countries so i fail to see what your point is. The only difference would be that people would actually be questioned by immigration and get a stamp in their passport instead of shouting human right...

Richard66, Yep the sooner the UK is out of the EU the better. As for getting rid of the stupid human rights act, the Magna Carta and Common Law was working perfectly well here until the stupid human rights act came into play. I just hope that Cameron sticks to his policy of getting rid of the human ...

No, it doesn't work the other way around because my comment makes sense in the context of the economic crises. You came up with 1:10 ratio like it was some kind of fact so I say prove it. All I said, it is likely the reverse because of the economic crises, which mean probability. My statement for s...

I'm sure that the Canadian equivalent of their Home Office would be able to answer your question regarding automatic entry if married to a Canadian citizen. For a more precise answer you'd be better googling for a specific forum for Canadian immigration or even a US one as you're more likely to get ...

Agreed RattleSnake. It can of course go against the human rights and privacy and the sort but I would better be safe than sorry. The americans have similar sytem in place and there are no exemptions to that. Even if you don't need a visa for US, you still have to give this information at least 72 h...

If an adult foreign national came to visit family members on a 6month tourist visa, what if any options are there for her to remain in the uk beyond 6months. I understand that the tourist visa cannot be extended further, but is it possible to transfer to a different type of visa? study? work visa? ...
