Application form itself is very easy to fill and simple. Yes ...

From the required document checklist , it is essential to have a new British passport according to vfs "Self attested photocopy of British / For...

I am no immigration expert..but as far as I know,

1. As she has spent 5+yrs in the UK, she should be eligible directly.

2. There is no dependant status on ILR which means she can live in the UK on her own :)

I used 01516725626 which is same as the 0845 number you have.

Is this regarding a status update? When did you apply? If your application is less than 6 months old and selected the options 2, 1 your call with get ended after an automated message.

You cannot send application 1 month earlier like a ILR application. Have to complete the 5+1/2+1 years requirement before sending.

First and foremost thing...this is not the right section to post about Indian immigration. Use this section If you had to travel urgently, I would suggest getting a visa instead of OCI waiting time. According to this thread , surrendering an Indian passport would take 3-10 working days. Going by thi...

Call the same number, ask them for a private ceremony. They've miost likely received notification of your naturailisation, so they'd be able to tell when they can fix a ceremony for you. I think cost differs according to council, I think mine was 60 pounds. Thanks, I did it for this coming friday 1...

Apologies to midowatford for misguiding and thanks to jms_uk for pointing out the sticky.

If I were you, I would wait until 16/09/2012 and not risk losing the application fee.

P.S: I have removed my previous comments just so someone would read and go with my assumptions.
