my father is filling for me, but its taking time. i had a 10 year visa but handed in my passport to the uk home office and never gotten it back, it expires next year. i dont know if i can get it back and if not how can i apply for a new visa? should i wait for my father to file for me? or just keep ...

i believe you can apply because you were here from 1998 and have LTR until 2005, so if my maths is right that would be 6 yrs legally here, thats why you got the ILR. now you can apply after 1 yr with the ILR. although you were overstay for two years it would come under discretion.

i dont know if this is the right place to place this question but here it goes. i have ILR from UK but can apply for BC by 5 yrs time, dnt think when that 5 yrs come it will be 5 yrs because i will get caught up in the July 2011 law change so it might be eight yrs. with all that waiting and cant get...

i would ignore that bit if i was you because ur apply for a child and if they need it they would send you a letter asking for it, which i doubt they would.

it all depends on what sort of benefit you want to apply for. you could go to your jobcentre and they will tell you if you are qualified to apply.

i dnt tink you need to apply for naturalisation, i think you are already british but you could call the HO, go on uk border agency and click on citizenship then follow the instruction there is also a number for the HO on the AN form guide .

really, my solicitor told me that i could apply after 12 months with IRL. i was abit confused with the new stress that they bring in but spoke to another solicitor couple days ago and he said that once you got the IRL lawfully or unlawfully i am entitle to apply. who told you, you had to wait 5 yrs?...
