In that case do you think withdrawing the appeal would be better? Is there any format in which we need to write to the embassy for withdrawing the appeal or would just a letter mentioning the same would do? if your application doesn't allow for an appeal it should say on your rejection letter "you ...

if you look elsewhere in the recent posts, someone has just posted up that they have had their visa refused for submitting 3 months statements that are not originals, it's not 100% clear wether it's the originality alone, or the lack of a full 6 months it does say somewhere on the UKBA website that ...

I poured over the UKBA websites, found everything i could, and then asked for additionaly advice on this forum and we've just recieved back the approval for our fiance visa, so I'd say hiring an advisor isn't neccessary. 1. what does your wife have? she is the sponsor, so it'll be largely resting on...

I only have online banking, i downloaded the PDF's of my monthly statements online and then printed them on a colour printer, they looked exactly like originals apart from a watermark that said "duplicate" through the background. Our visa was granted without any questions regarding finances. If that...

on a visit visa you can only be in the UK for 6 months for a single visit, the fact that you've put 1 or 2 years indicates that you do not intend to leave within 6 months (which is a requirement on all visit visas - you can go and comeback again, but a single visit must not exceed 6 months). Even if...

as long as everything is in order when you go to hand in your docs you should be fine, just put the dates in correctly (e.g. when it asks when you WERE married, put the date you WILL BE married... and just hope nothing goes wrong in the meantime)

you are supposed to supply 6 months bank statements and payslips, they do also need to be original print outs either on a standard format payslip or on headed note paper... go back to whatever company it is that actually put the money in to your bank account and ask them to print out 6 months paysli...

Spouse visa - get married in USA and apply from there. Could take 3 months Two points to make :- The same "3 months" applies to fiancee visa applications, except for both .... If you use an expeditor the time will be cut significantly, to about a week. We've just recieved back our fiance visa in 3 ...

1. you have 28 days to lodge the appeal 2. If they've refused you because your income is from online gambling, they obviously consider that gambling is not a legitimate income going forward, i don't think by appealing you will change that decision. 3. you'd need to ask a solicitor, fees can vary wil...

according to what others have said on here, you need to have about £110 per person AFTER accommodation, so you may want to look at becoming more full time and not "chilling out" quite so much

to be on the safe side, the UKBA advise you carry a copy of all the documents you submitted with your original visa application, that way if they start asking you awkward questions at passport control (like do you still live at x address, on what basis were you granted a visa...), you have everythin...

I called the UKBA and they told me on the phone that I needed to ask your local council for a Housing Inspection for Entry Clearence, it's the only evidence of housing suitability accepted by the UKBA my council did it for free, but some (e.g. those with higher rates of immigration affecting their l...

They'll want to see that you have the means to support her without claiming public funds. Having outstanding debt will definitely count against you (particularly as it's an overdraft and not a scheduled loan repayment). Living with your parents isn't a huge problem as long as you can get a Housing I...

according to who?

ILR = INDEFINITE leave to remain

http://www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk/ukresi ... opassport/

you can transfer the ILR to a new passport, or you can carry both passports,
the ILR itself never expires

Yeah, I would cancel the attempt at getting her a new mauritian passport and go for naturalisation instead, she has a valid ILR, so the validitiy of her mauritian passport isn't important.

she can come to the UK for up to 6 months without a visa, although she wouldn't be able to work legally it would at least give you a chance to explore the relationship and decide if you want to get married - for other nationalities you can't apply for a spouse visa if you have a visit visa... but au...
