Should we endorse wife's name in husband's passport or husband's name in wife's passport or both. Is there a difference ? If you do decide on getting the endorsement done on the passports, then get it done on both passports. Doing it on just one passport does not really help you much coz you would ...

1.) What the purpose of this endorsement and when this is helpful/required. So that you do not need to produce your marriage certificate in places where they might ask you to produce one (usually when you go for travel visas). Mind you, some places might still insist on your marriage certificate ev...

Retired, no pension, cash rental income - these three do not make the case easy for an immigration officer to decide on giving your father a visit visa. The big cash deposits could go either way as its very easy to transfer those to the UK if he decides on not returning back home (not saying that is ...

I highly doubt it if you will get a new passport in 7-10 working days, considering you lost the previous passport. It will take few weeks if not few months for a re-issual. Lost passport re-issual process is not the same as a normal passport renewal process (i.e. once your passport validity expires ...

Since you are on ILR, if you want you can get your UK address as your permanent address on your Indian Passport.

Your UK bank statement, NRI bank statement, UK utility bill/council tax receipt, any of those will suffice.

My wife even had letter from doctor confirming that she is 8 months pregnant
This could have played a role in the rejection of her application. Usually such situations lead the ECO to believe that the person will come over for child-minding.

You need to show strong reason that you will return back to your home country. A letter from your employer helps strengthen your case, ...

Agree with your logic, however that logic is not followed by the HCI or Indian authorities and since they are the ones who issue OCI, one has to play by their rules.

Very general question. Immigration policies vary from country to country. I would say first try and see if you/your wife can get a job in a country that you would like to immigrate to. Another option is to try and search for a course (you mention you are studying) and see if you can apply for a stud...

You have to provide a copy of your British Passport when you apply for a surrender certificate. There is no short-cut or exception to that. So wait till you get your British Passport before you apply for your surrender certificate.

How many days before your passport expires ? Does it cover your stay in India ? If it does, then ask it to be returned as you have to travel urgently. I doubt if you will get specific information related to this, but you would need to go down to HCI and get this error rectified. Yes you are correct. If you are on T2 ICT then you have to give your India address (along with address proof). The same would be applicable for all 3 - you, your wife and child.
