Re: Passport application

The countersignature on a passport application confirms all the details on the form and should only sign after you are a British citizen.

Re: Sponsor non eea wife after ROR following divorce

You can't use the EEA regulations if you are not EEA national. RoR just means you retain your right of residence. Nothing else.

Re: Residence Card --> Citizenship

Check the application form (Form AN). It has a dedicated section (2.4-2.6) for people applying following residence under EEA regulations without an official PR. Your case is slightly unusual (Singh) so worth adding a few notes on page 17 but it should not cause any issues. There have been many succe...

Re: About pr

1. For some reason I thought you are an EEA national. Ignore my previous comment. If you are non EEA, then having PR does matter. You can't use the EEA route (even with PR) as you are not EEA national. However, as PR holder you can use the UK immigrations rules (the same way a British citizen can). ...

by which I won't be able to enter the country ( less than 6 months passport validity) Which country are you referring here? With a RC, you can enter Belgium without a visa (if travelling with your partner). With a RC, you can return to the UK without any problems. There is no need to have 6 months ...

Re: PR for Extended Family Member

Thanks Jambo, What about if we apply for my wife's PR first and once we get it we apply for my sister on the basis of my wife's PR plus evidence that the EEA national did not leave the country for 2 years. I though that it was only required to show that the EEA was exercising the treaty right for 5...

Re: PR for Extended Family Member

why would you need a CSI if you are fully working and paying a high contribution via tax. You said that both you and your wife have CSI. You say that you are income provider. The same logic applies to all family members (EFM are considered family member once they are issued documentation under EEA ...

Re: Residence Card --> Citizenship

Jambo - thanks again for your input here. Just quickly, where does it say that non-Eu applicants, for Surinder Singh, cases do not need to apply for PR (EEA4) before their naturalisation application? Have there been success stories on this forum posted? Singh is under the EEA regulations. PR Confir...

Re: About pr

If you have been living together for 2 years in a relationship akin to marriage, she can apply as unmarried partner. Having PR doesn't really changes things.

For naturalisation - it's the year before the application, not calendar year so if you apply in March 15 it would be March 14 - March 15.

Re: Please help with EEA3 form

You are not required to exercise treaty rights while abroad. So there is no need to fill in section 7.3. You do need to use study as the reason for the long absence in section 8.

Re: Help! Child's first passport supporting documents

You can check the FAQ for the required documents.

If your child is British (as she received a Registration Certificate), why would your status affect her? She is British regardless of her parents immigration/marital status.

Re: After Oath, can i apply the British Passport in india?

British passport - yes
Indian - don't know. You might want to ask the question in the Other Countries section of the forum.

Or just apply for the passport after you return from India.

Re: applying for a UK residence card with a visitor visa?

There is no need to apply for EEA Family permit before a Residence Card. However, what you try doing will not work. He can't rely on your EEA wife to bypass the UK immigration rules (because you are British). Making this application will be risking getting his existing visitor visa curtailed as he w...
