Search the forum. It is full of examples similar to your case.

There is only one form for passports (assuming you are applying within the UK). Read more here (just click on the highlighted word).

Not trying to defend the HO here but I believe there are several checks which are conducted by the HO (or an external agency) before the case is passed to a case worker. I suspect that the time it takes to finish those checks (credit check, criminal record check etc.) is the main difference between ...

Please note that if you have received a residence certificate (EEA1) as a student before today, they will waive the requirement...

a) Do I need to take a prior appointment with the NCS in my area No. You can post your application yourself or use any NCS in the country. The advantage with NCS is that you keep your documents (they photocopy them) and they also check the application for obvious mistakes. The service cost about 40...

You might suggest to your employer to call UKBA to verify your entitlement. I remember there used to be a phone number on the CoA for employers to use in such cases but I don't have that in front of me. Maybe someone who received a CoA recently can help here. Alternatively, use the phone number from...

The main criteria to qualify for home fees is EU residence and not EU citizenship. You generally need to have been living in the UK and/or EU for three years before the start of the academic year.

You can ask for the passport at any given time. You can even ask for it in a cover letter attached to the application when submitting the application. In practice, COA are issued quite quickly - about two weeks after applying. It then takes about two weeks until the post leaves UKBA and delivered (2...

EEA2.

As you been told already, your application is very likely to be rejected as you haven't been in a durable relationship for 2 years. Also note that for unmarried partners, you don't have an automatic right to live in the UK so applying under EEA rules will not mean that you have a valid visa.

Apply for EEA2 this week and once you get the Certificate of Application (takes about a month) ask for the passports back. Armed with the CoA, you should not have any problems travelling to/from Ireland with your partner. You can't become over-stayer as long as your husband exercises treaty rights (...

Re: Naturalisation queries

According to the guidance notes, 100 absences are normally disregarded. Is this under special circumstances or a norm? Under 100 days should be norm if you meet the other standard requirements. As for your other questions, the two problems that might rise from your situation are: 1. You need to phy...

It usually take the HO about a month to issue the CoA. You could either call the HO and explain why you need the CoA, maybe they can speed it up. Or ask your husband employer to call the HO and verify that although the 5 years Residence Card has expired, he is still entitled to work in the UK (assum...

A small tip when applying for jobs. Have you husband write "nationally: XXX (EU family member. Allowed to work in the UK)". If he doesn't mention the word "visa" or expiry dates in his CV, he is less likely to be asked about his immigration status in the UK (which is not a problem but not all employ...

Just to clarify the second option - EEA Permanent Residence status is not valid to 10 years. It is the confirmation sticker that is valid for 10 year. The EEA PR status is similar to UK ILR status and is valid as long as you don't leave the UK for more than 2 years. Once you have achieved PR status,...

LC20 is not a minor offence. I presume this was driving on international licence without having a valid UK one after spending more than one year in the UK. Did you try to contact the council and ask them? I would not worry too much. If you weren't listed on the bills, then you would not be listed in any legal process related to it. I would doubt it if the HO will contact the council to ask if there are any debts from the addresses you provide. I also d...
