I was going to leave the "topic" I start but I wanted to say I have no regrets about my original post. Before you all jump on me again, whilst (in the end) my comments didn't apply to anyone here, they started a very interesting healthy debate. All those that replied raised some very interesting po...

@Taylondon Like you say everyone has a background and to be honest, do you really think that people feeling anxious about waiting 3 - 6 months and over is rushing when they give 14wks wait and those that applied in other SET O categories have got feedback and they applied well after those of us in t...

Re: my illlllllllllrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Has it been 6 months already? The UKBA strictly state that for 2010 that you are not allowed to make contact until after 6 months. I spoke to my solicitor yesterday and they confirmed this. After 6 months you are allowed to take action. If it's less than 6 months I don't think your attitude is goin...

I quit my job in November (wanted a fresh start and didn't want to be working illegally whilst applying for ILR) and after 2 months of sitting around waiting I...

She was however able to continue on her status as a student as the application was being dealth with. It was very stressful for her having to wait through such uncertaintie...

One more thing... never contact UKBA and ask an update on your application; it makes your case worst and they keep you waiting longer as a result of this.

I really don't think that can be possible. Its not the same people dealing with calls that are dealing applications.

have you contacted your MP? Not yet. It appears that 6 months has now become the standard time to wait for this? I'll give it 3 more weeks and then will probably try and get things rolling. Not sure calling them helps either - paying for the national rate line to hear a robot read off a screen is a...

Thanks, I honestly don't think the staff of UKBA are lazy or inefficient, in fact I appreciate the fact that they have a lot to do and most of their jobs involve handling sensitive information. I do have respect for them, I mean we all work and we know how naturally stressfull working environment c...
