Do you realise how silly your proposal is OP? You want people to be granted a visa just for dating someone and not showing any sort of commitment? If your brother and his gf are so reluctant to get married then they can have a long distance relationship like thousands of others. Also I hope you real...

So you have a 3 year old child and have been together 8 years but you're not ready for marriage? If you don't have proof of 2 years of living together in the form of mail addressed to both you and your partner to the same address then you don't qualify. Simple. You'll have to look for another...

Greenie, am I wrong in thinking that everyone is supposed to pay their own separate council tax bills when in a shared building? I've lived in shared accomm before and everyone was treated as if their room was a seperate flat. Obviously if a couple lived in a room, they wouldn't have to pay twice ov...

First of all, this experience is pure luck and not in any way representative of what would happen most of the time if applicants submit the same amount of evidence. Secondly, sharing a success story is fine, but saying " I did have a glance over some forums for ideas and advice..... BIG mistake. I j...

If your wife is not attending this will get reported. So she will be seen as an over stayer if this continues.

You can apply for benefits for the child in your own right but don't get extra because of your wife.

Congrats on your success. However, although I see that some applicants have a fairly straightforward process with the UKBA, this is often depending on the country. I have been married since 2010 and because my husband is from Jamaica which is notorious for refusals in the past, I am waiting until m...

Congratulations on your success and good luck with the new arrival. Well your post is a bit rude to put on a forum such as this! Firstly, a lot of people on this forum do NOT come from fast track countries such as America, Canada, Australia etc... so your experience is not going to help many applicants on this board. If a person from Pakistan applied with the same e...

If you're here on a regular 6 month visit visa, it is illegal to be working. It doesn't matter if it's a UK job or remote.

I like this quote: ‎"Cameron promised to reduce net migration. That's not the number of migrants, that's the difference between migrants arriving and UK residents leaving. Sorry to break it to those who think the country is "packed full" or "under siege": the government is not interested in decreasi...

If during her overstay, she used the NHS and did not pay her whole bill off in full, she will be refused a visa (if she used over £1,000 worth of services). Keep that in mind.
