If you really can't find a job, try the Tier 1 Entrepreneur. The new changes mean that you can get it if you can get 50,000 from a venture capitalist. or if you have a spare 200,000 of your own cash lying around, that can work too.

They will only accept TB clearance from the airport TB facility. There's no point getting an x ray done and carrying it around with you. If you have a UK pre-departure tuberculosis (TB) detection certificate, please give it to the officer when you arrive.

14 year application tends to be complicated and so it can take anywhere from 3 months to a year or more.

As for your chances, I can't really comment without fully knowing your case but you say you came here aged 11 and that should be a plus point as you spent your formulative years in the UK.

I think you should consult a professional (any Level 3 registered OISC) consultant/solicitor/lawyer should do. They would then look at your case very carefully and they will be able to advise what your best options are. note: the consultant/solicitor/lawyer really (must) be a level 3 to help you inc...

you should wait until you partner is granted ILR as that will strengthen your case. Also, once your partner has ILR and your child is born, then the baby will be a British Citizen by birth, that will also make your case stronger. You should then get hold of a good immigration solicitor to help you a...

Re: What will happen?

What happens if a U.S citizen stays in the UK without a visa for over 10 years? his nationality does not count for a penny in the eyes of UKBA. He is subject to immigration controls and theoretically, he would be deported from the UK if he was to be found out. Right now, getting citizenship is a mi...
