well :) check your certificate - it should mention something. anyway, HO asks not to pass KOL test TOO early before your ILR aplication. they say that they will keep it for reasonable time but noone knows exactly what that means. i personally do not believe that it can expire within at least 2 years.

nksg i agree. i can't be bothered reading the JR again, but i was under impression that all that matters is that one was granted HSMP (approval letter) under old rules - before April. everybody after that got 5 years (2+3 years) HSMP. if someone got approval letter before April but applied for visa...

Re: time limit

do not confuse people.

180 days have nothing to do with naturalization process.
it is 450 days including 90 days in last year.

how? why?
you get your ILR
+ 12 month (allowed 90 days max away from the UK)
on 12 months +1 day you can apply.

HO asks not to pass KOL too early :) if one has to pass it for ILR do they expect them to pass it again for naturalization? Don’t think so… I’ve been with the same GP for over 3 years but I’ve only met him once and only to have an argument of stupid treatment I got from him so I don’t’ t...

apart from issuing you a copy of P60s, payroll can always restore missing payslips. i've just requested mine from HR. they have done if before in 2007 for my FLR.
they should also sign and stamp them for you.

dont' be shy to ask them. there are there to help, not to spoil your life :)

i don't need it for ILR (HSMP JR) but i was thinking of passing it now just to kill waiting time. will the certificate be valid for naturalisation next year?
