Asser whatever will be outcome of your application, you promise that you come and share with people as they would learn from your scenario mate. I would strongly suggest you to mention it on the form. Mentioning does not mean that you are admitting the crime, however it shows your honesty. If by any...

As far as you explain it with a cover letter or in the last part of your application, it should be fine.

I am just wondering. If caution is just a warning and not offence, why should one mention it on the form. And if this lady was 'JUST' cautioned, why should she mention it on the visa application, and later get refusal. I am surprised to see, later they have rejected the appeal as well. Not a fair de...

Most interesting discussion going on here.... If we interpret it correctly and if 'guidelines' to UKBA are provided properly / positively, it can be a positive move as John mentioned earlier. However, as per Amendment 185G, if everybody will have to disclose all convictions (irrespective of being sp...

Re: I had 3 points and £60 in fine

i had 3 points and £60 in penalty ticket 4 years ago due to speeding on motorway which I paid within 20 days. Last year DVLA removed those points from my license. Do I need to disclose this on my form? Firstly, it is not a convication on which they will deny ILR. Secondly, you do not need to, as it...

I have read many topics on this. Friend12345, you stand a good chance and I am sure you will get BC soon. Your offence is minor as you got 3 points only and you had to pay for fee court and not fine. The annex which you attached earlier clearly says that if you get the points from the court as if po...

I would strongly urge all those to share their success/ unsuccessful stories who have successfully / failed to gain their ILR with following details: 1- Type of Offence: 2- Did you recieve summon from court and did you attend court? or it was fixed penatly points 3- Outcome of a...

Thanks Greenie. It makes much more sense. My tier 1 extension (for 2 years) is coming at the end of this year and Ilr is due next year. If due to this conviction I cannot apply for Ilr, can I apply for further tier 1 extension ( when it expires) and keep doing it until my conviction becomes 'spent' ...

Also how do you go for NACRO / ACRO certificate?

Thanks.

Very important and very good question indeed.

Can anybody answer this?

I know this is very old topic but my question is on same lines therefore thought to ask it here. I am on Tier 1 (general) immigration status with my Mrs and daughter (born here) as my tier 1 dependents here. My ILR is coming in 2013, however due to unfortunate circumtances, I have been involved in c...

Re: Effect of conviction on Extension of Tier 1

Dear All, Unfortunately I have been involved in road traffic accident. I have been told by police that they may prosecute me for careless driving or dangerous driving depening on witnesses statements. I have been told that I will get summon and I may have to go to court. I am worried about this, an...

There are other options such as FLR. This tends to be granted in a lot of situations as a holding exercise. The guidance from the government does say 'should' not 'must'. If it gets to that stage you should get legal advice to make sure you take the right route. I presume you will be represented in...

One more question.

My Tier 1 was for 3 years.
Now When we apply for extension, do we get it for 2 years or 3 Years?

Also if I cannot apply for ILR after that (due to any conviction), what will happen then? Can I apply for further Tier 1 extension or not?

Can somebody please elaborate?

Thanks.
