You don't have to withdraw your appeal to reapply . I suggest you don't withdraw your appeal. Last week i asked H/O to reconsider their refusal to grant me a PR (EEA4).

For those who have succeeded in this route,can you shed a light,how long it takes to decide(is it 5 or 6 months?) or earlier than that.

It is a trend now for UKBA to issue RC stamp either in the Passport or on a Paper Document size A4.It is a matter of concerned because i feel that a Resident stamp on just a piece of paper bring a lot of suspicious to potential employers,when you travel etc etc.
