He shoild have said, if u divorce u should inform. instead, in the first part he says that no need to inform separation, yet, without mentioning divorce, brings in a new term "irretrievable breakdown" which could.include.anything from separation withoit.divorce to a desertion.etc and then says that ...

"repeatedly"... r u serious?! out of nearly 500 posts, repeatedly would mean every other post... easy to suck up to a moderator i guess (or am i "rude" again...clearly u have not seen/heard rude before), dont even think ur opinion was helpful here. Anyway, if i see that advice is nonsense, i will ex...

well, in my view the process of naturalisation isn't finished yet and noone knows what may happen when you go away (god forbid but due to an emergency etc one may get stuck abroad, even prison- worst case scenario). If you obtained the certificate before going, you are a Brit and no emergency can af...

what he means is nothing! ignore his advice, it's confusing. There is simply one ground for divorce where the relationship has broken down irretrievably due to, for instance, unreasonable behaviour. Again, ignore Obie's advice as it's confusing you. Once you divorce or start the proceedings in 2013,...

don't worry, also provide her passport or ID card and you're good to go. No problem with the expiring Tier 4 visa or that she only has 1 payslip, it is more than nothing :) If you can also get a letter from her employer in the UK it'd be grand!

Good luck and apply ASAP, waiting time is long!

Re: Permanent Residency and Citizenship application

Hi All, I have a quick question. I was reading somewhere that if you have PR you do not have to complete the 6 years history for EU citizens. I received my PR card in April 2012 but i was eligible since Sept 2011, do I have to complete the whole 6 years history or not? Silly me did not print a copy...

Re: British citizenship for Bulgarian National

I am a British citizen, married to a Bulgarian citizen, we married in Sofia Bulgaria in May 2007, my wife relocated to the UK in September 2007, and she has been working since March 2008 since she received her BR1. I wonder whether you mean she worked as a self-sufficient (as I doubt many Bulgarian...

nah, I would still recommend C&S as in another case a person at the Post Office did spot 2 errors: one was the white background of the pic (must be cream or off-white?!) and the other was the missing signature on the back of the countersignatory's picture (even though the example in the Guidance to ...

Passport Application, wrong section 5? Home Office London

I helped someone fill out an application for the first adult passport. In the place of naturalisation certificate, I told him to insert "Hendon Town Hall" as that is were he was issued the certificate (hindsight is a biatch). The person used Check & Send and the guy there never said a word about the...

the current fee is £72.50 for a standard 32- page passport. http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/TravelAndTransport/Passports/Applyingforyourfirstadultpassport/DG_174100 Then, if you wish the IPS to return your other supporting docs via secure post, you add £3 and, finally, if you want to use the Check & Sen...

I wouldn't advise sending an application for that EEA Family Permit if you wanted to save time and especially if you could not prove your work history in Greece to the UK embassy. It would be more difficult to prove you had exercised treaty rights in Greece to the UK embassy there, they would want s...

I could have a letter put together by a wedding photographer saying i worked for him in Greece. sorry but I can't stop laughing when I hear people being nervous for those "interviews"...it's not like it's a job interview and you may get a negative answer, they are confirming who you are, how hard can it be to answer the questions about YOU. And NEVER heard of people failing those interviews as...

From what I know, when one applies, upon receiving the application, they place a stamp on the page where the Schengen visa should go (if I remember correctly). If it is rejected, they normally don't just give it back saying it's incomplete, they simply reject it. I will be honestly surprised if they...

mcovet, I think once you have paid you loose your leverage (unless you are willing to sue). They issue the visa and can say "Frau Evil's freedom of movmement is not being interfered with, so lets move on". Especially if the visa is really optional, as in this case. WRONG, the payment is, if anythin...

the problem is that you have the PR sticker which does not say "family member" etc. but I presume your RC is still in the passport? Then you only show this at the border and travel without the visa with the marriage certificate. And on a practical note, there isn't much anyone can do against a forei...

the point Jambo is making is that having been away for 360 days, even if you wait another year to avoid the 90-days absence, what about the previous 4 years dating back to August 2008? Were you out of the country for less than 100 days between August 2008 and August 2011? If yes, then you qualify, i...
