The refusal came and as discussed it is due to the home office believing it was a marriage of convienience The refusal letter states that we needed an interpreter at our wedding which is totally untrue, my wife has a great command of the english language and the sad - or funny in this case - thing ...

I also wanted to respond to that guy's rude comms. I have had many clients where they simply terrorised the UKBA (through my advice) by sending them constant letters, emails, faxes, MP involvement etc. Not even once so far has it resulted in the negative outcome. It all depends whether you tick all ...

Re: Naturalisation straight after ILR?

Hi guys, I had to register again as my old username Juv is not working anymore. I have searched the forum but cannot find a case similar to mine. Please advice on the following matter, if you could: 2005 - Got my 5 year EEA Residence card, valid until april 2010 based on my first marriage. He left ...

Samelamin, I am deeply sorry to hear the news...the 2nd class post should arrive within the next few days. Let's see maybe it hasn't been refused yet (wouldn't be surprised). But if it has, they must give you reasons, your financial claim will still stand so don't worry about that bit. Let's wait an...

keffers, you know you lost your argument, why are you still trying to wriggle your way out. Just admit it and disappear. Also, no need for being condescending here: "these shores" and you "admire". The OP is not after your admiration, if someone has basic math skills and his self-employment is strai...

hey, you have done everything correctly. I am sure they have noted your case and will be finishing it shortly, just a wee bit left dear, keep hanging in there. there isn't anything else you can do really, apart from the future legal action. But by the time you get your RC (i know it may feel you wil...

Now, the second issue is what you are going to say coming back from france. They will look at your eea card and ask where your eea national is? If not with you, you do not fall under the eu law so shouldn't be travelling visa free. I'm not sure if this is what you mean, but if re-entering the UK al...

what did you want to suggest with your post? I am suggesting that your information is not new and that while you may think of it as a cheaper and more convenient option to UK immigration routes, the practical reality for most people might be that relocating to another EEA state and working there fo...

samelamin, don't worry about catching your flight. If you miss it, you will successfully claim compensation from the UKBA! they will not have any excuse for not processing it within six months of application. There is a statutory obligation to process within 6 months (17(3) Immigration (EEA) Regulat...

There is nothing new about the Surindar Singh route. However, I can't see a SS application being approved if the applicant has not been working (so it requires specific economic treaty rights rather than any other type of treaty right). what did you want to suggest with your post? I didn't claim th...

in addition to also understanding that if we do get a clear answer from the UKBA as to what EXACTLY it is that they want in addition to what the OP provided, this would make it easier for other applicants on this route. Changing their status to a worker is just avoiding finding a solution to this pr...

my wife travelled via eurostar alone and had a schengen visa in. A way to legally circumvent new immigration rules

I think vinny mentioned this already, but all is not lost for BRITISH citizens (not ILR holders). It involves certain inconvenience and a move abroad but is still better than new rules. Brits can simply go to another EU state (it will be easier and FREE to take your wife/dependent parents/children w...

If they had said no and an appeal was undertaken, how many months before an answer? And at what cost in time effort and money?? Appeals under EEA regulations are FREE of charge, as far as I'm concerned. If the court finds UKBA acted unreasonably and could have easily decided in favour of the applic...

Re: Retention of rights/and BC

1. What application form do i fill to retain rights? You fill out the same EEA2 form, have a look at it from the UKBA website 2. what do i get issued with? another 5yr residence card? You will get the same residence card which ridiculously still says "family member" etc but you must ensure you get ...

Now, a couple of words about your attitude. It looks like you just need to express your irritation and hatred to immigrants in one or another way. I remember your other posts, you know. Change your attitude, try to make sense in your posts or go climb a tree. Unfortunate combination of phrases ther...
